The 12-point charter of Bennet Coleman CEO & ED Sivakumar Sundaram laid down the platform for the School of Management & Law graduation day at SASTRA Deemed University, Thanjavur on Sept 28, 2025. In his address, Sivakumar highlighted the fundamental value differentiation of achieving significant impact touching the lives of one billion people rather than creating a billion dollar enterprise.
Stressing on the need to scale, he advised the Management & Law graduates to be a source of societal value addition besides professional excellence. Citing numerous analogies and real-time scenarios for their individual growth to Industry growth and India’s growth through the 12-point charter, covering various dimensions of personal, professional and public intelligence.
Students were given inputs on the 7C framework for personal achievement – commitment, courage, confidence, competency & collaboration.
Giving away degrees to over 400 MBA & Law graduates, Sivakumar’s address also touched on the contours of public intellectualism for nation building with a deep touch of India ethos and leadership styles. Dr.S.Vaidhyasubramaniam, Vice-Chancellor of SASTRA welcomed the gathering.
