Another ex-UFC champion throws his hat in the ring for Jake Paul fight

Hopeful of scoring another fight before the end of the year, Jake Paul has once more been propositioned by a former UFC champion.

Seeing a scheduled exhibition with WBA lightweight titleholder Gervonta Davis pulled ahead of next weekend, Jake Paul has confirmed plans to fight as soon as December in a short-notice clash.

However, with former lightweight title challenger Nate Diaz linked with a pairing against Paul again, the Ohio native has been offered a whole host of challenges by the boxing community.

But his latest challenger emerges from the mixed martial arts world, with a European veteran hoping to attract the influencer to the ring.

Andrei Arlovski offers Jake Paul ‘dream’ fight

Departing the UFC last summer, former undisputed heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski is the latest star to welcome a showdown with Paul.

And involved in some sizable fights before his tenure ended, Arlovski is the sole Octagon star to force current heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall to a second round in the Brit’s dominant run in the organization.

Fighting in both BKFC and the Dirty Boxing Championship since his Octagon exit, Arlovski has confirmed he is willing to take on Paul in the future, in what he describes as a “dream” boxing venture.

“I called him (Jake Paul),” Arlovski told MMA Fighting. “It’s going to be dreams come true, but one step at a time. I need to beat my first opponent, and then we’ll see what’s going to happen after, but absolutely [I want to fight him].

“Another famous YouTuber, but you have to respect that he trains a lot, spends a lot of money on his boxing coaches, so I guess he’s not a joke,” Arlovski explained. “But like I said, one step at a time, and we’ll see what happens after.”

Jake Paul reveals boxing hit list

Amongst his hit list of future opponents — of which there are 12 stars — Paul is circling a host of current UFC stars.

As well as Alex Pereira, Paul has weighed up the chances of taking on former two-division champion Conor McGregor.

But in the Ohio native’s opinion, McGregor is “fried” at the top level of the sport, questioning his willingness to ever compete in the Octagon again.
