Anthony Joshua came through the fight unscathed only to be hit hard down the stretch.
Joshua has admitted that he deserves criticism for his performance on December 19 despite getting his hand raised after a finish in the sixth round.
It took ‘AJ’ some time to find a home for his power, but once he did, he was able to close the show at the Kaseya Center in Miami.
The injuries that Jake Paul suffered in the second loss of his career are going to take some time to heal.
What will help this process is the huge purse he received in defeat, while his opponent is reportedly set to lose nearly half of what he made.

Anthony Joshua’s purse gets torn apart by varying taxes and payouts following December 19
Anthony Joshua may already have another unexpected fight in the works if he can make a quick turnaround to fight in February.
Regardless of the opponent, he’ll make an eye-watering amount of money, with varying reports claiming that he earned anywhere from roughly 93 to 134 million on December 19.
However, this purse isn’t the final sum that will end up in Joshua’s bank account due to huge expenses that will be taken off of this number.
The Brit, who referred to the bout as a “money grab” ahead of fight night, will have to pay the highest federal income tax rate of 37 percent due to the bout taking place in the United States.
While Florida doesn’t have state income tax, which is a big benefit to Joshua, he will then be taxed on his income by His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs back in the UK.
Combined with an additional National Insurance contribution, it has been claimed by AceOdds that ‘AJ’ will be left with just 53 percent of his purse once all is said and done.

Jake Paul gets the last laugh due to his financial situation
Jake Paul was entering somewhat of a win-win situation this past Friday night, providing that any injuries he suffered weren’t life-changing.
A quick loss would’ve still earned him respect for stepping in the ring against a bigger and better opponent, while any form of success would’ve exceeded expectations.
Paul has also benefited from the fact that his purse won’t be affected by all of the additional payouts that Anthony Joshua’s will be.
He’ll still have to pay federal taxes in the United States, but he’ll end up earning much more than Joshua in regards to his leftover purse.
