Ever since Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has been announced, everyone has been comparing it with Rupali Ganguly’s Anupamaa. People have been saying that Anupamaa will face a problem as Tulsi is returning.
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is returning to television. The show is starting from July 29. The story of Tulsi and her Virani family will continue. The show will have only 150 episodes and producer Ekta Kapoor has been really excited to bring back her iconic show. The TV serial ruled hearts from 2000 to 2008. It was one of the most successful shows and it ruled the TRP charts. People have been madly attached to every character of the show. Even today, people are excited about Tulsi and Mihir returning. Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay will be back as Tulsi-Mihir in the show. The shooting has started.
The promos of the show are out and we see a new Tulsi. Earlier, we saw Tulsi handling the house well and now, she will also reportedly handle the business. However, ever since the show has been announced, a lot of people have been comparing it with Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa. People feel that Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi will give a tough competition to Anupamaa.
Entertainment Ekta Kapoor on Anupamaa Vs Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi
Some made comments like ‘Anupamaa will now have a problem with Smriti Irani aka Tulsi’. People stated that Anupamaa will not be able to rule the TRP charts. Now, producer Ekta Kapoor has now reacted to these comments. She spoke to Brut.India where she was asked about women supporting women.
The producer recalled seeing some videos about Anupamaa having a problem as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is coming. She said, “I felt that was such bad taste.” She called Rupali Ganguly a big star and Rajan Shahi and the show have done what nobody could do in the last seven years. This is a big story in entertainment news and TV news.
She added that Rajan’s show will continue and should be number one. She shared that they all come to tell their stories and these unfair comparisons between the lead characters and shows is unnecessary. She also feels that pitting women and content against each other is so uncalled for.
Talking about Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, the show will also have other original cast members like Hiten Tejwani, Gauri Pradhan, Shakti Anand, Karishma Tanna, Mouni Roy, Shilpa Agnihotri, Pulkit Samrat, Rakshanda Khan, Sandeep Baswana and others. A few more new stars will join the show as well.
