The 13th meeting of the Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday, approved various investment proposals involving ₹20,444 crore with a potential to provide employment to 56,278. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister directed the officials to see that the projects are grounded within 45 days after signing MoU. Andhra Pradesh was able to attract significant investments in a big way with the introduction of speed of doing business and maintaining transparency in giving permissions, he said.
The Chief Minister advised officials to draft a master plan to develop convention centres and hotels in Visakhapatnam. IT Minister Nara Lokesh said that speed of doing business should be implemented efficiently and permissions should be given only after checking the credentials of companies, according to a release.
