Smriti Mandhana’s pre-wedding posts disappearing from Instagram sent fans into a frenzy, sparking whispers of trouble between the cricketer and her fiancé, music composer Palash Muchhal. Screenshots and speculation flooded social media within hours, with many assuming the couple had quietly unfollowed each other. But the picture looks very different once you look closer.

Despite the noise online, the two still follow each other on Instagram, shutting down breakup rumours. Their wedding, earlier set for September 23, had been postponed because of medical emergencies in both families. The deleted posts seem to have triggered confusion, but their social media connections remain intact.

General Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal wedding

Smriti Mandhana, one of Indian cricket’s biggest batting stars, has removed all her earlier social media posts related to her pre-wedding celebrations with music composer Palash Muchhal. The couple had planned to get married on November 23 in Smriti’s hometown of Sangli, Maharashtra, but the ceremony was postponed indefinitely after her father suffered a heart-related health emergency and had to be hospitalised.

As the celebrations were halted, online speculation grew when several viral posts linked to the engagement and pre-wedding events disappeared from Smriti’s profile. Among the missing posts was the announcement of her engagement, which had shown her dancing with India teammates to a popular song from Lage Raho Munnabhai. The clip, originally shared by teammate Jemimah Rodrigues and liked by more than a million users, is no longer visible on either of their Instagram accounts.

The sudden removal of these posts led to rumours about the couple’s relationship, prompting Palash Muchhal’s sister, playback singer Palak Muchhal, to address the situation. She clarified through a short note that the wedding has been paused only because of Smriti’s father’s health condition. She urged fans and the media to allow both families the space and privacy they need during a difficult time.

So far, neither Smriti Mandhana nor Palash Muchhal has issued any personal statement about the decision or the status of their upcoming wedding.
