Read further to know all about Babil Khan’s first public appearance after his controversial viral Instagram video where he was calling out Bollywood and its toxic culture.
Irrfan Khan’s son, Babil Khan, recently stepped out publicly for the first time, five months after his emotional breakdown video went viral. The actor, who had called Bollywood “fake and messed up,” had also openly mentioned several names from the industry, including Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Adarsh Gourav. At his recent appearance, Babil was seen wearing a colourful jacket, greeting the paparazzi warmly and posing for photos. However, fans noticed that he seemed a little more reserved than his usual cheerful and talkative self.
Back in May, Babil had posted a series of emotional videos on Instagram where he expressed his frustration with the film industry. In those videos, he had mentioned several actors and said, “Bollywood is so messed up.” The clips went viral before he deleted them and deactivated his Instagram account.
Later, Babil returned to social media to clarify his statements, saying the videos were “misinterpreted” and that he was actually trying to show support for the people he named — including Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, Raghav Juyal, and Arijit Singh.
Following the incident, Babil also stepped away from Sai Rajesh’s upcoming film. In a statement, he shared, “With a lot of grit, passion, and mutual respect, Sai Rajesh sir and I got along wonderfully on this journey of creating magic together. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, things didn’t go as planned.”
He added that he’s taking some time off and hopes to collaborate with the director again in the future.
