Bengals’ Week 11 Thursday Injury Report: Trey Hendrickson Misses Second Straight Practice

The Cincinnati Bengals released their Thursday injury report ahead of their Week 11 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. DE Trey Hendrickson, who Zac Taylor ruled doubtful earlier in the week, remained out of practice. Hendrickson missed Cincinnati’s Week 7 matchup against the Steelers with a hip injury that has lingered since.

Also missing practice was first-round pick DE Shemar Stewart, who also missed practice on Wednesday. Joe Flacco had a limited practice today, and OG Lucas Patrick popped up on the report with a calf injury. Jermaine Burton missed practice due to illness. Patrick has played sparingly this season, appearing in just three games.

Jay Morrison of SI posted the injury report on Twitter.

The Bengals’ defense has struggled mightily this season. Not having their best pass-rusher in Hendrickson certainly won’t help matters on Sunday. The Bengals gave up 39 points to the New York Jets in Week 8 before allowing 47 to the Chicago Bears in Week 9. They’ll be coming off a bye in Week 10. While the week off could help them prepare, not having Hendrickson is a big blow for Cincinnati.

Stewart has dealt with injuries throughout his rookie year. He played in the Week 7 matchup against the Steelers, but he didn’t register a stat.

Flacco had been dealing with a shoulder injury before the bye, but it didn’t cost him any time, and he should be good to go for Sunday. The Steelers defense will be looking for a better performance against him after he led Cincinnati to a game-winning drive in their 33-31 win.
