Indie developer Glitch Goblins has announced that its upcoming survival action RPG, Beyond the Map, will enter Early Access on August 25, 2025. Blending survival mechanics with deep RPG progression, the game unfolds in a procedurally generated fantasy world, ensuring every adventure presents new environments, challenges, and rewards.

Players begin their journey after surviving a shipwreck at the edge of the known seas, stepping into mysterious, uncharted lands. From there, the goal is simple but relentless: fight, adapt, and endure. Combat takes place in tactical, real-time battles viewed from a modern isometric perspective, offering clear visuals for strategic decision-making.

Beyond the Map removes the boundaries of traditional character classes. It allows players to shape their build by leveling skills and unlocking baseline abilities. Rare spellbooks scattered across the world grant extraordinary powers, encouraging exploration and experimentation.

Survival extends beyond combat. Players can gather resources, construct fortified bases, and master professions to craft and upgrade armor, weapons, potions, and enchantments, all of which are essential tools for facing increasingly dangerous threats.

The game’s world is vast and ever-changing, with distinct biomes populated by unique enemies, resources, and hazards. Each area promises its own blend of opportunities and dangers, making exploration a constant gamble between risk and reward.

A free demo is currently available on Steam, offering an early look at the gameplay loop. Any progress made in the demo will carry over to the Early Access version. Ensuring that players continue their journey seamlessly when the full release launches.

With its mix of procedural exploration, strategic combat, and creative survival systems, Beyond the Map invites adventurers to carve their own path through a hostile, unpredictable world.
