A black bear stunned crowd by crashing the 50th annual Christmas parade in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, roaming near children and decorations before going viral on social media.
Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency said the bear caught on camera had possibly gotten used to human contact and may need to be put down if it sees humans as a source of food.
The 50th annual Christmas parade in US’s Tennessee this year had an unusual crasher that stunned spectators – A black bear.
New York Post cited video footage showing black bear crashed a Christmas parade route on Friday in Gatlinburg, known as the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park which is home to roughly 1,500 bears, becoming the star of the show in front of a crowd of onlookers. As the bear calmly strutted on the roadway, people could be heard yelling.

As the video became viral on social media, a social media user said: “Waiting on the Christmas parade and a bear came out!!!”
A local media quoted Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency saying the bear caught on camera had possibly gotten used to human contact and may need to be put down if it sees humans as a source of food.
“That bear is, at some point, going to come in physical contact with a human and probably have to be epithelized for its actions, so help us keep bears wild, keep them alive, and hopefully we can enjoy seeing them in and around people with out them exhibiting any human habituation which is what you’re seeing here,” Matt Cameron, a representative of the agency, said.
The bear was later spotted digging through trash cans.
