Anil Pradhan (Young Tinker Foundation) received the businessline Young Changemaker award 2025.
In 2015, Anil Pradhan and Vaishali Sharma co-founded the Young Tinker Foundation to reimagine STEM education for students from financially humble backgrounds across India. Both Pradhan and Sharma, with a vision for a hands-on learning model, set out to equip students with problem-solving skills, creativity, and leadership through a practical “tinkering” curriculum. At the heart of their work are Young Tinker Spaces — centres of excellence equipped with tools, workstations, and indigenous curriculum — and Tinker on Wheels, a mobile AI-STEM lab bringing science to remote corners. Their patented products and unique pedagogy have already reached nearly three lakh students across eight states, including over 1.32 lakh girls. The focus is on empowering high school students, particularly in rural areas, with the right skills and a problem-solving mindset.
