Cam Newton and Gillie Da Kid‘s last exchange has spilled over into this week, with the former NFL quarterback doubling down on insulting Gillie’s former rap career.

In a recent episode of his 4th & 1 podcast, Newton delivered another response to the Philly rapper and Million Dollaz Worth of Game co-host, reigniting tensions that began over his controversial take on Eagles quarterback, Jalen Hurts.

“There will not be no playing with my name,” he said, before suggesting the real root of Gillie’s frustration wasn’t about football at all. “Was it the album comment?” Newton asked, referencing an earlier jab at Gillie’s rap career where he challenged listeners to name one of his albums. “Did you know his album was Gilladelphia?” he added with a smirk.

From there, Newton didn’t hold back. He mocked Gillie’s music credentials, noting he never charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and joked that Gilladelphia “didn’t do no numbers.” He even questioned Gillie’s overall public image, calling him a “mascot” for the Philadelphia Eagles and saying they simply “can’t relate on a lot of things.”

According to the athlete-turned-podcaster, even mentioning Gillie’s name among some of his NFL peers was met with confusion, until he clarifies, “the one with the big hat.” He capped off the segment with a critique of Gillie’s speaking style, saying, “This is my challenge to you: try to refrain from using the N-word in every sentence. Use your nouns, verbs, and adjectives, brother.”

He added, “If it weren’t for Wallo, Million Dollaz Worth of Game wouldn’t have credibility.”

It all started when Gillie slammed Newton for leaving Hurts out of his top 10 quarterback rankings — despite Hurts’ Super Bowl appearances and MVP nod. The critique didn’t sit well with Gillie, who unleashed a tirade against Newton. In response, Newton called out Gillie’s Rap career and lack of accolades.

Gillie fired back in a video of his own saying, “A good day, Cam Newton. I seen you came at me because I said Jalen Hurts did what you couldn’t do… win a Super Bowl. So you wanna get all in your feelings? Man, shut your tight jeans wearin’ a** up. You had on a jersey with a bow tie, you corny a** ni**a!”
