Aryan’s voice features partially on it, along with Diljit and composer‐producer Ujwal Gupta. The lyrics are written by Kumaar. It follows two earlier tracks from the same album, ‘Tu Pehli Tu Aakhri’ and ‘Badli Si Hawa.’ On-screen, the series will be led by Lakshya, with Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, and Anya Singh in parallel lead roles. And in terms of cameos, it brings together a major line-up, Aamir Khan, SS Rajamouli, Disha Patani, Karan Johar, Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan himself. BREAKING: Mirai ends with the promise of a sequel titled Mirai: Jaithraya; to feature Rana Daggubati in an evil avatar

Entertainment The Pan-India mythological-fantasy film Mirai has been released today worldwide. The excitement for it is there due to the subject, casting, exciting trailer and also the association of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for the Hindi version. Bollywood Hungama has learned that Mirai is not just a one-part saga. The makers have intended it to be a multi-part series and the hint about it is given towards the end of the film. BREAKING: Mirai ends with the promise of a sequel titled Mirai: Jaithraya; to feature Rana Daggubati in an evil avatar Mirai ends with the promise of a sequel. The title of the second part is mentioned in the end slate – Mirai: Jaithraya. That’s not all. A mid-credit scene is shown to the audience and it introduces the new villain of the series – Rana Daggubati! Further, Rana’s character is shown to possess a mysterious power. It is quite intriguing and with this scene, the makers make it clear that Veda, the protagonist, is up for a bigger threat in the sequel. Rana Daggubati looks apt for the casting and moreover, his role will surely remind one of his legendary villainous act as Bhallaladeva in Baahubali. Mirai stars Teja Sajja, Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran and others. Written and directed by Karthik Gattamneni, it is the story of an orphan who realizes that he is in the world for the greater good and to stop an evil force. Teja plays the protagonist Veda while Manchu Manoj is the villain, Mahabhir Lama. At the trailer launch of Mirai’s Hindi version in Mumbai, Teja Sajja remarked, “Why does nobody question when the same love story is made again and again, but the moment we try to tell a story inspired by our ‘dharma’, people start raising doubts? We should feel proud—this is our land, these are our morals. In the 3 minutes 10 seconds of the trailer, only 10 seconds show a glimpse of Lord Rama, and for that alone, questions of religion are being raised. This film is not just about that—it’s a mix of fantasy, action, adventure, superhero storytelling, and deep emotions. We’re bringing all of this together through the lens of our Indian itihasa, in a fresh and cool way, so that the younger generation can connect with it and embrace it.” Also Read: People Media Factory drops second song ‘Jaithraya’ from Teja Sajja starrer Mirai; watch More Pages: Mirai Box Office Collection , Mirai Movie Review Tags : Daggubati, Dharma Productions, Karan Johar, Manchu Manoj, Mirai, Mirai: Jaithraya, News, Rana Daggubati, South, South Cinema, Teja Sajja BOLLYWOOD NEWS – LIVE UPDATES Catch us for latest Bollywood News, New Bollywood Movies update, Box office collection, New Movies Release , Bollywood News Hindi, Entertainment News, Bollywood Live News Today & Upcoming Movies 2025 and stay updated with latest hindi movies only on Bollywood Hungama. Kapil Sharma faces MNS wrath over referring to Mumbai as ‘Bombay’: “A humble request-cum-warning is being issued”

Entertainment Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma has once again landed in controversy. After being in the news earlier this year over a gunfire incident outside his restaurant in Canada and allegations of hurting the sentiments of a Sikh community, Sharma is now facing heat from the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). Kapil Sharma faces MNS wrath over referring to Mumbai as ‘Bombay’: “A humble request-cum-warning is being issued” On Thursday, MNS leader Ameya Khopkar, who heads the party’s film wing, issued a stern warning to the comedian for allowing Mumbai to be referred to as “Bombay” or “Bambai” on his Netflix show The Great Indian Kapil Show. Khopkar stated that if this continues, the MNS will launch a strong agitation against Sharma. “The name of this city is Mumbai. On Kapil Sharma’s show, for a long time we have observed that the city is referred to as Bombay or Bambai. This is not just an objection, it is anger. If you can call other cities by their proper names like Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata, why insult our city? Mumbai is your karmabhoomi. The people of Mumbai like you and watch your shows. Don’t insult this city, don’t insult the people of Mumbai,” Khopkar said while addressing the media. He further added, “If this has happened by mistake, then correct the mistake. Whoever comes on your show, whether they are celebrities or anchors, tell them not to call Mumbai as Bombay or Bambai. They must say Mumbai. If this does not happen, the MNS will launch a strong agitation.” १९९५ महाराष्ट्र शासन व १९९६ मध्ये केंद्र शासनाची अधिकृत… pic.twitter.com/KKa7TazDJ0 — Ameya Khopkar (@MNSAmeyaKhopkar) September 11, 2025 The warning came after a clip from the show went viral, in which actress Huma Qureshi, while speaking about her bond with her brother Saqib Saleem, referred to Mumbai as “Bombay.” The episode also featured Shilpa Shetty and Shamita Shetty. Seven K-Pop Covers to Obsess Over

Entertainment Here’s a curated list of some stand-out K-pop covers by BTS, EXO stars, Astro’s Cha Eun-woo, and more that you need to listen to Baekhyun and Jongho are featured in a still from their performance of “Until I Found You” by Stephen Sanchez on ‘Secret Duet,’ a popular series on Hello82’s YouTube channel. Photo: Screenshot from the YouTube video. Reimagined and remade with love, the following K-pop covers have breathed new life into their beloved tracks. Featuring poignant renditions like BTS’s “Fix You” and stunning duets such as EXO’s Chen and N.Flying’s Heeseung on “Ghost Town” and EXO’s Baekhyun and Ateez’s Jongho on “Until I Found You,” these covers are beautiful, creative reinterpretations. Here are seven K-pop covers to obsess over. BTS – “Fix You” (Original by Coldplay) Four years ago, BTS performed this poignant cover of British rock band Coldplay’s “Fix You” for MTV Unplugged. The song’s origins are rooted in Coldplay frontman Chris Martin’s heartfelt gesture to comfort his then-wife, actor Gwyneth Paltrow, after her father’s demise in 2002—he even used a keyboard given to her by her father to compose the track. BTS, who’ve been open about the song’s impact on them during tough times, created a stripped-down yet emotional rendition of the rock ballad that highlighted its message of finding comfort, hope, and support, with RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook’s rich vocal textures deepening the song’s emotional resonance. Enhypen Heeseung – “Off My Face” (Original by Justin Bieber) It feels as if Heeseung is wrapping a warm whisper around Justin Bieber’s soft rock ballad. And as his voice soars on the falsetto notes, he adds more depth to its contemplative mood—exploring the lessons love taught Bieber and helped the pop icon identify himself and his purpose in life. “‘Off My Face’ is a song I often enjoy listening to by an artist whom I highly respect,” Heeseung shared, as reported by Billboard. That shows in his rendition, as he adheres closely to the original acoustic sound while minimizing the instrumentation to its bare essentials—just his vocals and a delicate guitar melody. Doh Kyung-soo (D.O of EXO) & Lee Suhyun – “Rewrite the Stars” (Original by James Arthur, Anne-Marie) Originally performed by actors Zac Efron and Zendaya in the film The Greatest Showman (2017), this iconic duet by English singer-songwriters James Arthur and Anne-Marie has found new life in the voices of D.O. and AKMU’s Lee Suhyun. It all started with a snippet of the song performed by the K-pop stars on KBS’s show The Seasons: Long Day, Long Night With AKMU, which went viral and sparked fan requests for a full version. Suhyun took the lead, directly contacting D.O. to suggest recording it, and the full studio cover was released in September of last year to overwhelmingly positive reviews. The original version definitely has set the standard, but D.O. and Suhyun’s version, characterized by their vocal chemistry and stunning harmonies, is just as brilliant. Cha Eun-woo (Astro) – “Love Is Gone” (Original by Slander, ft. Dylan Matthew) As a tribute to his late friend and fellow Astro member Moonbin, Cha Eun-woo shared this cover of American DJ duo Slander’s EDM song “Love Is Gone” on his YouTube channel last year. He revealed in the video description that the song holds special meaning for him, that every time he thinks of Moonbin, he works harder, and every time he misses him, he finds comfort in music. He wrapped up the message saying, “Happy birthday, my friend… I always miss you, I’m thankful, and I love you, my friend.” The cover is a soulful expression of grief and love in Cha’s signature soft vocal delivery, cutting out the original’s driving electronic sound for a simple, minimalistic piano accompaniment, much like the song’s acoustic version, to let its emotional core shine through. Enhypen Jay – “Always” (1995 Wembley ver. Original by Bon Jovi) “Always” by Bon Jovi, the legendary rock band founded by frontman Jon Bon Jovi, has an interesting backstory—Jon wrote it for the 1993 film Romeo Is Bleeding, but after being underwhelmed by a sneak preview of the movie, he shelved the track. However, his friend, A&R executive John Kalodner, discovered it and convinced him to give it a second chance. Jay’s cover uploaded on Enhypen’s YouTube channel, featuring a live band, brings back the song’s rock ballad energy from Bon Jovi’s iconic 1995 Wembley Stadium performance. EXO Chen & N.Flying Hwe Seung – “Ghost Town” (Original by Benson Boone) Chen and Hwe Seung took the stage on Secret Duet—a popular Hello82 YouTube series featuring K-pop acts performing duets with mystery partners whose identities are revealed only after the performance—to deliver a sublime jam of American singer-songwriter Benson Boone’s pop hit “Ghost Town.” The song’s dark themes of toxic relationships and emotional depletion, evident in lines like “Before I turn your heart into a ghost town,” resonate deeply in their performance. This duet might just be one of the show’s best pairings, and it’s surely a testament to the talent and versatility of the two K-pop sensations. EXO Baekhyun and Ateez Jongho – “Until I Found You” (Original by Stephen Sanchez) Another draw of the Secret Duet series is Baekhyun and Jongho’s cover of “Until I Found You” by American singer-songwriter Stephen Sanchez. The song is about love and redemption, inspired by Sanchez’s relationship with his girlfriend, Georgia. Baekhyun and Jongho’s effortless and expressive singing revamps the sound while highlighting its emotional depth. The harmonies they create are delivered with such precision and clarity, making them truly stunning and significantly enhancing the overall listening experience. Read More

Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett tell us about new Gorillaz album ‘The Mountain’: ‘It’s completely different and completely new’

Entertainment Gorillaz are back with their upcoming ninth album. Albarn and Hewlett tell us about how life, death and trips to India informed the new record As Gorillaz share details of their ninth studio album, The Mountain, co-founders Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett have exclusively told Rolling Stone UK about the record’s underlying themes of life, death and transition, and the inspiration they found making the album in India. The new album, which was played in full at their ‘mystery show’ at London’s Copper Box Arena last week, follows 2023’s Cracker Island, and will be the first on the band’s own new label, KONG. The record arrives on March 20, 2026 but the first taste arrives in ‘The Happy Dictator’, a collab with Sparks, which is out today. The group have also confirmed details of an arena tour of the UK and Ireland in Spring 2026, plus a one-off headline show at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Described as an “expansive sonic landscape” produced by Gorillaz, James Ford, Samuel Egglenton and Remi Kabaka Jr., plus Argentine producer Bizarrap, The Mountain follows the story of what happens when the animated band of Murdoc Niccals, Russel Hobbs, 2D and Noodle, relocate to Mumbai with the help of four fake passports. Whilst the animated band embark on a fictional journey, Albarn and Hewlett say that the album – recorded in locations such as London, Devon and various places in India – was particularly informed by their joint travels to the “gloriously technicolour” country, but also the personal loss they both experienced during that time. “It was all like, ‘This is fucking weird, there’s a reason why we’re here,’” Hewlett explains. “Losing our fathers, and losing my mother-in-law, and then being in India as an artist. Visually, if you’re an artist and you go to India and it doesn’t blow your mind, then you must be blind, you know? Everything is insane and rich and colourful and mad and tragic and beautiful. “Damon worked with a lot of fantastic Indian musicians. We just had the best time, and we were so inspired and excited by the experience.” Albarn explains that the accumulative effect of grief and sadness “had to play out,” but the pair found comfort in the attitudes towards death in Hinduism, Buddhism and Sikhism. Reflecting on his own background from a “fundamentally anglo-christian society” it was “very nice,” Albarn continues, “to be able, even on the periphery, to feel a bit of that in context of our own sadness.” Ultimately, the duo had one particular idea in mind for the new album: to make death cool. In our recent interview with Gorillaz to mark 25 years of the band, Hewlett discussed the enduring appeal of animated characters and avatars as a means of escapism from the gritty reality of the real world. In the context of The Mountain, the animated band are the perfect candidates to take this journey and to make the transition between life and death feel less scary and more optimistic. “They’re cartoon characters,” he says. “They can die and come back to life the next day, it’s fine. [It’s] almost like they’re gonna go first and give us an idea of what’s to come.” The album will be accompanied by a book of Hewlett’s distinctive hand drawn illustrations which capture Murdoc, Noodle, Russel and 2D’s journey in India working on the new album. “You’re supposed to listen to it from beginning to end,” Hewlett explains of the new album. “What we’re asking is, take the time to sit with your earphones and listen for however long the album is, and look at the artwork, and then just lose yourself in this story. Don’t cherry pick a song, listen to it all. We’re trying to bring back that idea of taking time to invest in something, instead of this culture of scrolling.” Albarn is like that with all his albums, he confesses, “but this one probably in particular. There’s a message. By the time you get to the last song, which is called ‘The Sad God’, God’s really sad and he’s giving you a list of all the things he’s given. That man’s fucked up.” As ever with Gorillaz, collaboration is front and centre on The Mountain and the tracklist features an extraordinary list of artists – with performances in five languages – from the likes of IDLES, Paul Simonon, Jalen Ngonda and Johnny Marr, to Ajay Prasanna, Omar Souleyman and Anoushka Shankar. The latter is the daughter of sitar virtuoso, Ravi Shankar, which presented something of a full circle moment to Albarn. “I probably listened to Ravi Shankar before I listened to The Beatles when I was a kid,” he says. His parents, his dad in particular, were huge fans of Indian classical and ragas, so “to have Anoushka Shankar on the record is not only a real privilege, but the connection with my dad and his love of Ravi Shankar is great.” But the album isn’t just about death, according to the pair, with a lot of underlying conversations centering around on what is happening in the world more generally today (“Without getting on a soapbox and preaching,” Hewlett clarifies). Songs like ‘The Happy Dictator’ (featuring experimental art-pop duo Sparks), the first single to be released from the album, are very much “staring the beast in the face,” Albarn says. The track “touches that sweet spot between making something that’s fun and also got some social, political clout to it,” he explains. “I’ve always loved it if you can get that kind of song up to a big festival field singing it. It feels quite powerful.” Elsewhere on the album, the multi-generational nature of Gorillaz is also addressed. It was “important to include all the people who died that we’ve known,” explains Albarn. As such, voices of departed collaborators from previous sessions have been woven into the narrative, including Bobby Womack, David Jolicoeur, Dennis Hopper, Mark E Smith, Proof and Tony Allen. “I wanted to bring them into the conversation so that the record carries everybody and the whole history of

Now streaming on Prime Video, the film is based on the life and times of the first female vocalist at Radio Kashmir who rose to fame in the Seventies. “The lyrics of the song showcase her struggle and the obstacles she faced as an artist,” Renzu says. Led by a stellar cast featuring actor-musicians Saba Azad as the artist’s younger self, and Taaruk Raina as Rumi, a student who interviews her, alongside Soni Razdan as an older Begum, the film’s deliberate pacing and straightforward narrative are a breath of fresh air when it comes to stories from Kashmir. Renzu worked on the script with writers Niranjan Iyengar and longtime collaborator Sunayana Kachroo. He tells Rolling Stone India, “The story really germinated from her music. Her songs are love songs, melancholic yet beautiful ghazals, and I felt I had to make a film around them. As I read more about her life, I was amazed by her courage. At a time when women had limited rights, she sang fearlessly, broke barriers, and her powerful voice opened doors for future female artists.” Saba Azad in a still from ‘Songs of Paradise.’ Photo: Prime Video/Excel Entertainment That perspective came from history, and Renzu intended Songs of Paradise to also serve as a documentation of sorts of Kashmir’s musical heritage for present times. Weary of “seeing the same narratives again and again” representing the valley, Renzu says he wanted to “celebrate a musician who few outside Kashmir even knew about.”   The filmmaker—who also has his own record label, Renzu Music, to spotlight Kashmiri musicians—feels that “Kashmir’s musical heritage has been disappearing.” He adds, “Because of decades of conflict and the lack of archival facilities, many recordings by Kashmiri musicians have been lost—we can’t even trace songs that were once recorded. Songs of Paradise becomes a platform to revive that legacy, to preserve and celebrate music that might otherwise have vanished.” To that end, Kashmiri vocalist Masrat Un Nissa has been in the spotlight for leading most of the songs for the film soundtrack, which released last week. In a 2024 interview, Masrat told Rolling Stone India how it was “daunting” to imitate Raj Begum’s voice, one that was widely regarded as the Melody Queen of Kashmir, for Songs of Paradise. On the soundtrack, Masrat leads versions of Begum’s famous songs, including “Dil Tsooran,” “Karsa Myon,” and more, recomposed by Abhay Rustum Sopori. “Despite the difficulties, I put my utmost effort into doing justice to these assignments,” the singer says. She credits Sopori and Renzu for “clear and precise directions” when it came to singing for the narrative. Although she wasn’t watching any early scenes from Songs of Paradise to prepare her songs, Masrat says she watched some footage later and says it made her “feel proud to be part of this film.” When it came to finding the right actors to play the character of Zeba Akhtar, Renzu enlisted Saba Azad (known for her work in theater as well as one half of nu-disco/funk duo Madboy/Mink). Razdan essays the role of Noor Begum, the older version of Akhtar. Renzu says, “Saba, in particular, did an incredible job learning Kashmiri songs and delivering dialogues with such proficiency.” By her own admission, Azad says she hadn’t been familiar with Raj Begum’s work until Songs of Paradise came her way. She tells Rolling Stone India, “[It] is a bit embarrassing as a musician for me.” She adds, “This film really was a schooling in Kashmiri music. Raj ji had a repertoire of live recordings that most artists would take several lifetimes to put together. I’m so thankful to this film for giving me an opportunity to peek into the life and times of this legend.” Familiar with Renzu’s previous films like The Illegal, Azad praises the filmmaker’s “gentle way of telling the story as a quiet observer.” The director says it was “very important” to cast musicians in the film. “I discovered Saba through one of her posts where she sang a beautiful Punjabi song, and I immediately felt she was the right fit. She not only carries the look of that era but also has a strong command of Urdu, which was essential,” Renzu says. Azad, for her part, says her music background helped in “small ways.” She adds, “Like keeping time while filming, singing along when I was supposed to be lip-syncing may have also helped to make it look a little more real.” Renzu brought in Raina to play Rumi and feels he was “almost playing himself” in the film, exuding a genuine love for music. Raina says he signed on to Songs of Paradise because it was a chance to be part of a story from the valley and connect to his Kashmiri roots. When asked if he drew from being a musician for the role, Raina says he brought his “absolute love for all music of the world” to playing Rumi. “It [being a musician and actor] helps you feel more, resonate more, and of course, even sing and play along yourself,” he adds. Both actors and the director say they’ve been overwhelmed by the response to Songs of Paradise. Raina says, “I took my bua (aunt) to see the film and I could see her getting emotional as she saw the Kashmir she lived and grew up in, and heard the songs she and her friends sang and heard.” Danish Renzu with Saba Azad on location during the making of ‘Songs of Paradise.’ Azad says the reception “puts the faith back” in knowing “the audiences are open to different ways of storytelling.” She adds, “That in itself is a triumph for us.
