The single, part of an upcoming project called IDGAF, signals a shift toward a space “devoid of genres and expectations,” according to a press release. Sonically, they stare down a dark new path on the nu metal-edged song featuring screams by Pritam Adhikary Goswami, with arresting visuals that swerve with AI-aided VFX in a surreal fashion, something Dreamhour humorously credits to a duo Kay Ling (Kling.ai from China) and Rhun Wei (American platform RunwayML). Karan Kanchan – “Firestarter” Mumbai beatsmith Karan Kanchan takes it back to his EDM beginnings but with an updated sonic palette on his latest single “Firestarter.” Inspired by meeting the likes of Skrillex last year, the producer turns to high-energy dance music that’s seemingly inspired by Afrobeats and more, all blended into his distinct bass-driven style. Kanchan gets into gear, sitting in drifting cars for the music video directed by Karamvir Chopra and shot in black and white by Arabind Sudhir. Browncoat and Nikhil Chinapa – “1947” DJ-producers Browncoat, aka Nawed Khan, and Nikhil Chinapa draw from sarangi and a landmark speech for their Independence Day release “1947.” The groovy electronic-fusion track journeys into the Independence Day speech Tryst with Destiny by India’s first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru and that’s about the only time the beat becomes subdued, only to elevate the song into a sense of exuberance and celebration. He says in a statement, “The song talks about that confusion, the fear of growing up, and the feeling of being stuck in your own thoughts and realising life won’t wait — and maybe it’s okay not to have it all figured out. The Pershing County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday that 37-year-old Vadim Kruglov, a native of Russia, was the person found “lying in a pool of blood” on the Black Rock Desert festival grounds on August 30. Authorities previously said they were investigating Kruglov’s death as a homicide. Officials — who earlier this week sought the public’s help in identifying the victim — added that Kruglov’s family in Russia has been notified, ABC News reports. “Although this act appears to be a singular crime, all participants should always be vigilant of their surroundings and acquaintances,” Pershing County Sheriff Jerry Allen previously said in a statement Sunday. “There is no further information available at this time, but it will be released as appropriate to provide for communication, while still preserving the integrity of the complicated investigation of a crime in a city which will be gone by the middle of the week.” As Allen noted, the investigation is “complicated” due to the fact that Burning Man — which concluded Monday with the mass exodus of festival goers — adheres to a “Leave No Trace” principle, meaning all structures, belongings, and waste were removed from the site. Authorities worked quickly to gather evidence from the crime scene prior to the deconstruction. Additionally, the remoteness of Black Rock City, with its lack of cellphone service and surveillance cameras, also serves as an impediment to the homicide investigation. Deadbeat arrives on October 17 via Columbia Records — Tame Impala’s first LP on the label — with the announcement coming on the heels of the album’s first two singles, the seven-minute dance track “End of Summer” and the just-released Beck-citing “Loser” with its Joe Keery-starring video. Entertainment Rosé, KATSEYE, Gaga-Mars shine at VMAs 2025 Other winners that accepted during the show were Rosé, who won song of the year for “APT” a duet with Bruno Mars; and KATSEYE, who won MTV Push performance of the year for “Touch.” Mars and Gaga won best collaboration for “Die With a Smile.” Entertainment Ricky Martin, Busta Rhymes among other winners Ricky Martin received the first Latin Icon Award, Busta Rhymes was given the first Rock the Bells Visionary Award, and Mariah Carey was given the Video Vanguard Award. Also, all three artists gave performances. The VMAs included two new categories this year: best country video and best pop act. LL Cool J hosted the VMAs, which broadcast live from UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, coast-to-coast beginning at 5 PM on Sunday. In addition to its longstanding home on MTV, the show made its premiere on CBS and was streamed live on Paramount+ (for anyone with the service’s premium membership).
