Entertainment Home News and Gossip Who is Jessica Hines? Journalist LINKED to Aamir Khan amid Faisal Khan’s shocking revelations Reports about Jessica Hines’ purported relationship with Aamir Khan initially made headlines in India in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The matter has again resurfaced after Aamir’s brother Faisal Khan brought it up in a press conference. After Bollywood actor Faissal Khan, the brother of Aamir Khan, made shocking charges in a recent interview, British writer and journalist Jessica Hines found herself back in the limelight. Long-distant from his family, Faissal claimed that Aamir had an unwed child with Jessica Hines. This accusation has sparked renewed interest in Jessica and her relationship with Aamir. Entertainment Who is Jessica Hines? Jessica is most recognised for her profession as journalist and for writing the book Looking for the Big B: Bollywood, Bachchan and Me, which examined Bollywood as a phenomena from the perspective of Amitabh Bachchan’s fame. She has established herself as an industry observer by writing a great deal about Indian movies and culture throughout the years. Entertainment Aamir-Jessica dating rumours Reports about Jessica’s purported relationship with Aamir initially made headlines in India in the late 1990s and early 2000s. It was reported that the two became close after meeting during the Ghulam (1998) shooting. Sennheiser Accentum Open Review: Pushing Against In-Ear Supremacy

Entertainment The open-ear approach to true wireless earbuds is rare among tech companies, but this new offering had consumer feedback on its side Sennheiser Accentum Open is available in black and cream. Photo: Sennheiser We’re so deep into in-ear audio propaganda (pun intended) that the announcement of open-ear earbuds like Sennheiser Accentum Open may just make you pause and examine how we got this far. Sure, Sennheiser themselves had an in-ear iteration out last year called Accentum True Wireless, but they found that they needed to make an entry-level (priced at ₹9,990, though) open-ear alternative.  They weren’t shooting in the dark. As much as in-ear earbuds are the norm for companies like Sony, OnePlus, Phillips, JBL, and more, Sennheiser decided to make the Accentum Open based on a consumer survey. In a press briefing, the company revealed that nearly half of the respondents would consider buying open-ear earbuds, and 23 percent would exclusively buy a pair compared to other earphones.  Compared to the widely used and promoted in-ear earbuds, there’s less pressure on the ear canals with open-ear models, and the first thing you notice upon using the Accentum Open is how light it feels. It helps that the earbuds are 4.4 grams each. The flipside is that if it’s not in-ear, it’s not going to be a great fit. You have to mentally adjust yourself to the feeling that these are not fixed firmly in your ears, but more like positioned there, and a bit of motion could also displace them. The good part is that there’s no pressure on your ear canal, so the ear fatigue is slightly less. The slight inconvenience of not having them sit snugly in your ears, however, is something to get used to.  Sennheiser Accentum Open in black. Photo: Sennheiser There is no active noise cancellation with the Accentum Open, but Sennheiser’s 11mm dynamic transducer speaker type still delivers great audio quality while keeping you connected to your surroundings. It’s a bid to give consumers more awareness of their environment, whether it’s for safety or socializing. To that end, there’s a good amount of balancing that these earbuds provide, from allowing listening on even a single earbud to having multipoint connectivity on up to eight devices.  Sonically, the Accentum Open lives up to the Sennheiser gold standard of providing clarity, and unlike most in-ears, you can finally have something that’s not bass-oriented. From rock to house to pop and metal, music sounds as sublime as intended. If your thing is bass-heavy music like EDM, then maybe an in-ear option might just scratch your itch. The Accentum Open, however, seems unapologetically made for hassle-free listening. Calls are clear enough in regular public and private settings, with the beamforming pair of mics doing a decent job.  Sennheiser Accentum Open TWS earbuds in cream. Photo: Sennheiser Additionally, there’s no app, no adjustments—nothing you need to do other than connect and use with the Accentum Open that makes it even more suited for on-the-go listening. They offer up to 6.5 hours of usage on a single full charge which extends to 28 hours of playback time when used with the case, according to Sennheiser. Available in black and cream (with more colors apparently slated to hit the market soon), it’s super-light and boasts Sennheiser’s smallest charging case in their true wireless system catalog.  If there’s one drawback that we felt in usage, it’s that the Accentum Open is a little too light and often slippery in its finish, which makes it prone to dropping. If you’ve got butterfingers, you’re likely worse off, although there’s not much damage to warn about. Sennheiser Accentum Open certainly wants to rewrite the narrative on in-ear earbuds supremacy. If you’ve used Apple AirPods, then you know they’re certainly not alone, but it can be a hard sell at times. In this case, the price of ₹9,990 is worth it,  but only if you truly believe in the comfort that open-ear earbuds offer.  Get the Accentum Open on Sennheiser’s official website, Amazon India, Flipkart India and across leading electronics retail outlets. Ozzy Osbourne Doc Covering Final Years Pulled Hours Before Premiere

Entertainment The BBC said it will “confirm” new broadcast details for Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home soon Ozzy Osbourne in 1991. Martyn Goodacre/Getty Images The BBC has postponed the premiere of a new documentary about the final years of Ozzy Osbourne’s life just hours ahead of its scheduled premiere on Monday evening, Aug. 18. No reason for the postponement was given, nor was it clear when (or if) Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home would air. A BBC spokesperson told Rolling Stone: “The film has moved in the schedules and we’ll confirm new tx [transmission] details in due course.” Reps for the production company behind the film, Expectation, did not immediately return a request for comment regarding the doc’s postponement. Nor did a rep for the Osbourne family.  Coming Home was filmed over the past three years. The project was initially announced in 2022 as a series called Home to Roost, which was set to follow the Osbourne family as they realized a long-held dream to move back to England. But the nature of the doc evolved as Osbourne’s health deteriorated. The metal legend spent the last few years of his life battling Parkinson’s disease, as well as injuries he sustained from a late-night fall in 2019.  Producers of Coming Home described the film as a “remarkably candid and uplifting tribute” to Osbourne. The film will reportedly feature “unique and intimate access” to the whole Osbourne family, and also contain footage of Osbourne working to get in shape for his farewell concert, which took place in early July, just a few weeks before his death.  The BBC’s head of documentary commissioning, Clare Sillery, said coming Home showed Osbourne’s “enduring spirit,” adding, “We hope it brings comfort and joy to Ozzy’s fans and viewers as they remember and celebrate his extraordinary life.” From Rolling Stone US. Zoë Kravitz Says ‘Life of a Showgirl’ Has ‘No Skips’ as Taylor Swift Unveils New Vinyl Variants

On Sunday, Zoë Kravitz gave Swift’s album her seal of approval, telling Extra she’s already obsessed with it. During the interview, Kravitz revealed that she had “heard bits” of the album the singer announced last week. “It’s fantastic, of course,” Kravitz told the interviewer of the Max Martin and Shellback-produced album. “No skips.” Then, on Monday, after placing a countdown on her website, Swift unveiled two new vinyl variants for the album, which feature imagery different than the one she shared last week as The Life of a Showgirl was announced. The new cover art sees Swift in a sparkly, dark leotard and matching gloves, leaning her hand against the wall with the name of the album written in sparkly font. The records with that cover artwork are being dubbed “The Shiny Bug Edition,” with fans being able to choose between a “wintergreen and onyx marbled” vinyl color and a “violet shimmer marbled” vinyl (both of which are already sold out). The records featuring that imagery are available exclusively on her website through Aug. 20, offered as a “limited run” and promised to be the “first and only pressing” of the variant. Swift unveiled The Life of a Showgirl artwork last week during an interview with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother Jason on the New Heights podcast. The LP, which features Sabrina Carpenter on the title track, is set to release on Oct. 3. “This album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant. It just comes from like the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life,” she said. “And so that effervescence has come through on this record. And like, as you said, bangers.” From Rolling Stone US. Read More

Hayley Williams Longs for Home in ‘Glum’ Video

Entertainment A new Instagram post from the singer suggests the 17 new singles she recently released may be part of an album Hayley Williams in ‘Glum’ video. youtube/Hayley Williams Late last month, Hayley Williams surprised fans by uploading 17 new songs to a website audio player for customers of her haircare company. The tracks later hit streaming services as standalone singles on Aug. 1, and now another one of them, “Glum,” has its own, nostalgia-inducing music video. The video — co-directed by Paramore‘s Zac Farro with AJ Gibboney and shot on 35 mm Kodak film — captures the yellow-haired musician strolling through a garden, sitting pensively in an attic, wandering through a house mid-remodel, and strumming a guitar from a hallway as she sings along to the track. Like the song, it carries a retro, late-Nineties energy. “Do you ever feel so alone/That you could implode and no one would know?” sings Williams on the chorus. “And when you look around and nobody’s home/But you wanna go back to wherever we’re from.” The drop of the 17 singles, via her indie venture Post Atlantic, marks the first solo release from Williams since Flowers for Vases/Descansos in 2021. In an Instagram post over the weekend, the singer seemed to allude that the songs would be part of an album. “Fell asleep trying to post, didn’t save it to drafts, forgot which pics I wanted to include, basically just wanted to say thank you for listening to the 17 new songs,” Williams wrote on Instagram on Sunday. “I have been at the creek listening to potential track-list orders and still trying to create my own. It’s almost as hard as posting a photodump.” Last week, she dropped the video for the track “Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party,” which captured the singer dancing alongside Nashville Representative Justin Jones. Malayali creators slam Param Sundari for stereotypes, makers accused of silencing dissent

Entertainment The much-anticipated Hindi romantic film Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, has sparked a wave of outrage among Malayali content creators. Several creators have voiced strong objections to the film’s portrayal of Kerala culture—and now accuse the film’s makers of silencing dissent after critical posts were removed from Instagram. Malayali creators slam Param Sundari for stereotypes, makers accused of silencing dissent Singer and RJ Pavithra Menon was among the first to publicly criticize the portrayal of Malayali women in the trailer, particularly targeting the stereotypical depiction that includes jasmine flowers worn in hair and Mohiniyattam dance scenes in everyday life. In her now-deleted video, she asked, “Women in Kerala do not walk around wearing jasmine flowers and dancing Mohiniyattam.” The video was removed after Instagram flagged it due to a copyright claim by Maddock Films. Menon shared a screenshot of the takedown notice and ironically quipped, “Happy Independence Day to everyone who has a voice.” Undeterred, she re-uploaded the video while expressing her frustration that a Hindi actor was chosen to represent a Malayali character. She asked, “What’s the problem with employing a proper Malayali actor? Are we less talented? This does not happen in Kerala. We don’t wear jasmine flowers around or do Mohiniyattam in offices and homes.” She further suggested simplifying pronunciation challenges by saying, “simply use Trivandrum instead of Thiruvananthapuram – we’ll be satisfied.” Another content creator, Vedangi, echoed this criticism and leveled accusations against the film’s team. In a new video, she stated, “The team behind this movie is currently suppressing all Malayali creators. Several creators have complained about this. Instead of conducting a thorough study, they chose to capitalise on Kerala’s culture. The portrayal is extremely out of touch and disrespectful.” She also emphasized that their critiques fall within fair use under Section 52 of the Copyright Act, arguing, “We are free to express our criticism. However, every Mallu creator who mocked the trailer has received copyright infringement notices. This is silence, pure and simple. You may have cast or dubbed a Malayali actress. I think silencing us was worthwhile.” This backlash adds another layer to the controversy surrounding Param Sundari, following earlier discontent from the Christian community over a romantic sequence filmed in a church. The community had called for the removal of that scene from the film’s song.
