Deepika Padukone exits acting role in The Intern Hindi remake, will focus on producing: Report

Entertainment The Hindi remake of The Intern, first announced in 2021 with Deepika Padukone producing and starring, is finally seeing fresh developments—though not in the way fans initially expected. Deepika Padukone exits acting role in The Intern Hindi remake, will focus on producing: Report Back in 2021, the project was intended for a swift turnaround, with plans for release the very next year. However, after nearly five years of little progress and only sporadic updates, reports now suggest that Padukone will no longer appear on screen in the film. Instead, she will take on the role of producer exclusively, overseeing what’s being described as a “creative and logistical reboot” of the project. A report by Mid-Day quoted a source saying, “This time, Deepika will step away from acting in the film to serve solely as a producer, overseeing the creative and logistical reboot. A new leading lady is being cast to play the part she was once slated to perform.” According to the source, the decision comes as part of Padukone’s broader career shift towards creation and storytelling. “The Intern is the first of five projects she plans to mount in the coming year. She is looking to tell stories that are globally relevant,” the insider added. The original 2015 Hollywood film, directed by Nancy Meyers, starred Robert De Niro as a senior intern at a fashion start-up, alongside Anne Hathaway. The story has already been adapted in Japan as the 2022 TV drama Unicorn Ni Notte, featuring Hidetoshi Nishijima in De Niro’s role and Mei Nagano in Hathaway’s part. With Padukone now solely behind the camera, casting for the lead role in the Hindi remake is underway. Intense screen battle between Coolie and War 2 in Telugu states; NTR Jr. flexes his power against Rajinikanth

Entertainment The box office has turned into a battlefield in Telugu as War 2 and Coolie have engaged in an intense screen battle in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Reliable sources confirm that Asian Cinemas and Sitara Entertainment are fighting it out for prime time shows in the Telugu states. “With NTR Jr. as the lead, War 2 will eventually win the showcasing battle in Telugu states. However, Suniel Narang, the owner of Asian Cinemas, is going out of his way to secure 40 percent screen for Coolie,” a trade source shared with Bollywood Hungama. Intense screen battle between Coolie and War 2 in Telugu states; NTR Jr. flexes his power against Rajinikanth The trade source informed that the exhibitors in Telugu states are, however, in favour of Naga Vamsi, as NTR Jr. is one of the biggest local stars, and none are willing for a face-off with him. “NTR Jr. is an influential personality, same for Naga Vamsi. No one is willing to upset them. The intense face-off between Coolie and War 2 will end soon, and the latter will get strong showcasing in the Telugu states. Approx. 62 percent of the screens will go to War 2, leaving just 38 percent for Coolie,” the source told us further. While Asian Cinemas are trying for a 60:40 ratio, Sitara Entertainment is hoping to secure screens in the ratio of 70:30 in its favour. It’s going to be a clear lead for War 2 over Coolie in North India and Andhra Pradesh / Telangana, as the studio YRF, along with local distributor partners, are going all out to do complete justice to the scale of the film. “NTR Jr. too is flexing his equations and stardom to get premium showcasing and has succeeded in doing so against Rajinikanth.” More Pages: Coolie Box Office Collection Tags : Aditya Chopra, Ayan Mukerji, Bollywood, Coolie, Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, Kiara Advani, News, Rajinikanth, War 2, Yash Raj Films, YRF BOLLYWOOD NEWS – LIVE UPDATES Catch us for latest Bollywood News, New Bollywood Movies update, Box office collection, New Movies Release , Bollywood News Hindi, Entertainment News, Bollywood Live News Today & Upcoming Movies 2025 and stay updated with latest hindi movies only on Bollywood Hungama. This Luxury Party Resort Is As Much About Slowing Down As It Is About Iconic Ibiza Raves

Entertainment Hosting the likes of Solomun, Camelphat and Marco Carola each week, Destino Five Ibiza is for a new breed of conscious ravers chasing more than just the afterparty. All photos courtesy of Destino Five Ibiza As I haul my sleep-deprived self into Destino Five Ibiza, the first sight that hits me is the domed ecru facade cutting through the island’s endless stretch of blue horizon and rustling greenery. The next thing that catches my eye is the glint of the metallic cherries embedded into the gate, an obvious wink to the symbology that has become synonymous with the legendary club Pacha Ibiza.  Part of Dubai-based FIVE Holding’s takeover of the White Isle’s iconic Pacha brand, Destino Five Ibiza feels like it was built for an era where wellness and wild partying are both part of the same ritualistic routine. The luxury party resort hums with an inherent stillness, even as lo-fi house beats blare in the background. A lone disco ball melts into the concierge desk, turning the midday glare into the most glorious strobe light. At check-in, a cart stocked with zingy lemonade and Ibiza’s fennel-flavored Hierbas liqueur is yet another hint: this is where detox and debauchery dance together.  Living up to Pacha’s five-decades-long legacy of the most epic all-night ragers is a tall order, but Destino Five Ibiza does it with barefoot ease and a Balearic flair. The resort’s color palette of white, green and blue is every so often interrupted by the luscious cherries sprinkled throughout the property—on pool towels, the back of servers’ shirts, a ring toss game zone, and even a woven screen that silently judges you as you scurry back to your room after one too many Aperol Spritzes. The small but upscale rooms have all the trappings of a post-party cradle, complete with a coffee pod machine, a private lounging terrace, and one of those televisions that whirs to life even when you didn’t ask it to. Each of its 159 rooms is decked out with archival snapshots of Pacha’s dance-floor memories, though the neon-haloed mirrors on the ceilings feel strategically placed to shame afterparty survivors who wake up to find themselves in the previous night’s outfit.    Mediterranean date palms, matte stone, and sculptural loungers frame the glassy turquoise pool at Playa Pacha, the resort’s plush hideout. It’s the perfect place to plonk yourself after spending nearly ten hours folded into airplane origami. We stretch our legs and sink into the sunbeds as Sam Owen—the resort’s resident DJ and a regular on Pacha Ibiza’s weekly Flower Power lineup—spins a groovy mix of deep and Afro house on a sunken deck in the middle of the pool. The atmosphere is buzzing with the sound of music, clinking glasses, and the blissful purrs prompted by the in-house poolside masseuse kneading away partygoers’ hangovers.  Our poolside eavesdropping is paired with the creamiest guacamole, umami-bomb hamachi, and just enough mojitos to make us think we can decode the smattering of accents around us. As I look around the crowd, it’s clear that the resort attracts a diverse mix of well-heeled travelers, and its menu is equally reflective of this worldly influence. While the resort’s all-day dining spot, Cielo, serves up Iberian ham, paella, and antioxidant-packed juices in a breezy setting with lush live music, its finca-style Greek patio, Elia, offers front-row views of Dalt Vila and Formentera as you dig into chargrilled meats and mezze platters. But the real test of any upscale party resort’s food formula is whether or not it can deliver on those post-party 5 AM munchies. Consider it my professional obligation to report that the chicken tenders and truffle rigatoni on Destino Five Ibiza’s after-hours menu do, in fact, hit the spot.  Ibiza moves to a warped timeline, where the sun doesn’t set until 10 PM, and the dancefloor revelry stretches well into the unforgiving light of noon. At Destino Five Ibiza, this floaty feeling of time is even more pronounced. So when I oversleep during a jet lag-induced power nap and find myself wandering through the glow-lit lobby at midnight, it almost feels like business as usual on the island. Over at Pacha, a short ten-minute drive away from the property, the party is just getting started.  On our first night, we slip in through the club’s back entrance reserved for “Pacha Family,” a fortunate perk for all resort guests. The place is still stirring into action as we explore its labyrinthine floors, discovering a hidden-in-plain-sight garden bar on ground level, and a prime DJ viewing spot beyond a gateway of glaring screens. Still, we can’t resist pushing our way through the jam-packed backstage area around 2 AM, just as Solomun—the underground music stalwart who helped define a new wave of melodic techno—is set to blast off. Pro tip: carrying a portable fan in Ibiza’s punishing summer heat can win you new dancefloor friends and a spot in the front. Following a cerebral set by Âme, we lose ourselves in a Solomun-spun web of slow-burning builds and bone-rattling bassline drops that feel almost cinematic under a downpour of lasers. We end the night on the terrace at Pacha’s newly opened Paradiso Ibiza, a pop-up bar from the Barcelona-born venue that has consistently ranked among the World’s 50 Best Bars. On night two, we pop into the Pacha restaurant tucked just below the dancefloor, where the throb of the bass becomes a sensorial score to a Japanese-Mediterranean spread of smoky aubergine, wagyu tataki, and black cheesecake. Just when we’re convinced we’ve eaten our way into a food coma, the sound of A-Trak’s disco-drenched beats spilling out from the club lures us back to the dancefloor. Like any club that’s earned its icon status, every night at Pacha comes with a stacked lineup of residencies featuring electronic music’s most sought-after names—from vibe curator BLOND:ISH to Grammy-nominated dance music duo Camelphat. Destino Five Ibiza brings a pinch of that signature energy to their grounds every Thursday, turning the resort into an open-air

Katseye Tap Young Miko for Flirty Take on ‘Gabriela’

Entertainment Girl group stunned at Lollapalooza over the weekend as they played songs from EP Beautiful Chaos for the first time Katseye with Young Miko Rahul Bhatt Who better than Young Miko to add an even flirtier, sapphic flair to “Gabriela?” On Friday, Katseye released a new version of their Beautiful Chaos single, featuring a Spanish verse from the Puerto Rican star. “By law, she’s gonna want me to keep going/Come down to Carolina/So you can try a Latina,” Miko raps in the bridge in Spanish. “Hands off, Gabriela, better put them on me instead.” Katseye — comprising Lara, Sophia, Manon, Daniela, Yoonchae, and Megan — previewed their recently released EP Beautiful Chaos with the choreography-packed video for “Gabriela,” which starred Jessica Alba. At the time, Daniela, who’s Latina, spoke about the importance of paying homage to her Latina roots with the song (and its telenovela-esque video). “I feel like the song is about paying homage to telenovelas and Latin culture and for me, it’s honestly such a big opportunity,” Daniela told Rolling Stone at the time. “I feel very honored to be able to sing in my native language and just connect with our Latino fans and that community a little bit more.” The new version of the fan-favorite comes just days after Katseye made history with a massive crowd on the Lollapalooza mainstage in Chicago over the weekend. “I don’t know if the ‘Oh, we’re coworkers, so we can operate like that,’ would really work for us,” Lara told Rolling Stone about their bond. “I feel like the friendship, the true bond that we have is what makes this truly so fun, even if we have a bad day or something crazy happens.” From Rolling Stone US. ‘Freakier Friday’: Get in Loser, We’re Going to the Lohanaissance

Entertainment Attention, millennials: The long-awaited sequel to the Jamie Lee Curtis-Lindsay Lohan body-swap classic is finally here, and it’s kind of great In her nearly 50-year career, Jamie Lee Curtis says she’s only improvised one single line: “Make good choices.” These are the words her character, Dr. Tess Coleman, yelled out the car window to her daughter Anna (Lindsay Lohan) in the 2003 body-swap comedy Freaky Friday. That beloved, heavily-memed quote is brought back for the new sequel, Freakier Friday, which reunites Curtis and Lohan. Only now, things are a little different: Anna is the one shouting “Make good choices!” and consequently mortifying her own teenage daughter, Harper (Julia Butters). Tess sits behind the wheel, rolling her eyes. “You are so lame,” she tells her.  It’s a humorous twist for anyone who’s seen the first film, but it hits harder for millennials who grew up with Lohan onscreen. Twenty-two years after the Lohan-Curtis Freaky Friday’s debut, the long-awaited sequel we thought might never get made is here — and against all odds, it’s actually kind of great. Freakier Friday, directed by Nisha Ganatra, is a charming love letter to Lohan and her generation, and marks the actress’ official comeback. So get in, loser. We’re going to the Lohanaissance.  First things first: Anna is far from lame. She’s not even a regular mom — she’s a cool mom. She abandoned her rock-star dreams and her band, Pink Slip, to raise Harper on her own, though she still writes songs privately. She’s also the manager of emerging pop star Ella (played by Never Have I Ever star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan), who’s grappling with a very public breakup. Anna is constantly putting out fires, particularly when she gets called in to Harper’s high school to discuss her daughter’s fight with her British nemesis, Lily (Sophia Hammons). It’s there that she meets Lily’s dad, Eric (the excellent Manny Jacinto, who goes full Swayze with a Dirty Dancing scene). It’s love at first sight, much to the chagrin of their rival daughters.  Six months in, Anna and Eric are engaged, and deciding whether to stay in California or move their families to England. A consultation with a kooky psychic (who later reveals she’s actually a Starbucks barista) played by Vanessa Bayer brings on the body switch. Only it’s not just two bodies switching: It’s four, with Anna and Harper swapping while Tess and Lily pair off. Quadruple body-swapping is ambitious, and we’ll admit we had low expectations, but each actress pulls it off (Hammons as Tess, diving into ice cream: “I haven’t had dairy since Bush was president!”). Butters in particular kills it, going from surfer chick to worrying mom clutching a glass of crisp white wine, frantically trying to save her engagement while stuck inside the body of a teenager. (As with Sydney Sweeney, Margaret Qualley, Mikey Madison, and others, Once Upon a Time in … Hollywood helped kick off Butters’ career. What the hell was in the water on that set?)  We veer into Parent Trap territory as Harper and Lily, now inside the bodies of Lohan and Curtis, respectively, conspire to break off their parents’ engagement. But Ganatra takes things a step further with a Meredith Blake cameo, as Elaine Hendrix plays a Rolling Stone editor at Ella’s photo shoot; we can neither confirm nor deny that Rolling Stone asks musicians to dress up as strawberry shortcakes. It wouldn’t have been shocking to see other Parent Trap Easter eggs: Hendrix sipping an Evian water bottle, Chessy entering with a plate of chocolate chip pancakes, and where on earth is tie-dye girl? Lohan has been playing along with all the nostalgia, though she swears the Oct. 3 wedding date for Anna and Eric, a.k.a. Mean Girls Day, was an accident. Sure, Jan. Meanwhile, pre-switch, Curtis is “Gram,” the heartwarming kind who bakes cookies for her granddaughter at 4 a.m. and takes too long deciding when it’s her turn at a four-way stop. She’s still a therapist, and despite crowd-surfing at her last talk-show interview, she’s continued to write successful books. If some of the jokes in this film don’t work, rest easy knowing none of them are Curtis cracks. After her intense dramatic role in The Bear, it’s refreshing to see her in a lighter, funnier role; she totally owns scenes involving the donning of lip plumper for passport photos, or accidentally winning a pickleball match against Grace and Frankie’s June Diane Raphael. The return of Chad Michael Murray as JakeGlen Wilson/Disney Curtis’ best scene, though, is when she (as Lily) and Lohan (as Harper) visit Jake, played by Chad Michael Murray, reprising his role. He’s moved on from his barista days and is now the owner of a record store, the classic hot-guy career trajectory. He’s clutching a stack of Pink Slip records for Anna to sign for charity, but Harper makes a complete fool of herself in a variety of ways that aren’t even a little bit funny. Meanwhile, Tess is hiding behind records, writhing on the ground, directing Anna with sexy cues. When Jake finally spots Tess/Lily in between the aisles, he starts to pine for her and their “Baby One More Time” days. It’s all a little High Fidelity — did Jake listen to music because he was miserable, or was he miserable because he listened to music?  Other characters return, including Mark Harmon as Ryan (who has about two lines), and Anna’s brother, Harry (Ryan Malgarini, who has even fewer). Pei-Pei and her mom (Rosalind Chao and Lucille Soong, respectively), the Chinese restaurant owners who caused the 2003 body swap, make a cameo at Anna’s bachelorette party. Sadly, Harold Gould, who played the earthquake-fearing grandpa in the original, died in 2010, and Willie Garson, who played Tess’ neurotic patient Evan, died in 2021. But at least we get some scenes with our favorite substitute teacher, Elton Bates (Stephen Tobolowsky), who is once again running detention, this time forcing his Gen Z students to pick up trash off the ground.  And thank god for Pink Slip. Anna reunites with her old bandmates (Christina Vidal and Haley Hudson) onstage at the Wiltern, and they perform “Baby,” her tender ode to Harper. Then they dial it up for a scorching “Take
