Entertainment Actress Ishita Dutta has shared a deeply personal and emotional update with fans, revealing that she and her firstborn, Vayu, were both recently hospitalised. Ishita Dutta gets hospitalised alongside son Vayu; actress reveals health scare after recent birth of second child In her caption, Ishita wrote, “It’s been a really tough month… At a time when I was supposed to be with my newborn, I was making hospital rounds instead. Thankfully, both Vaayu and I are doing much better now.” While the actress did not reveal the exact cause of the hospitalisation, her post drew an outpouring of love and concern from fans and fellow celebrities alike. Many praised her strength in dealing with the emotional and physical toll of being ill while also caring for a newborn. The Drishyam star further addressed the noticeable change in her appearance in recent weeks, especially regarding her weight loss. “A lot of you have been asking me about my weight loss—it wasn’t deliberate, just a result of being unwell,” she clarified, quashing speculation about postpartum body changes being a conscious effort. Ishita and Vatsal, one of television’s most adored couples, became parents to their son Vayu in 2023. Their family grew further in June 2025 with the birth of their daughter, Veda. Fans had celebrated the news of the couple embracing parenthood for the second time, but this latest update brought to light the unexpected challenges the new mom had been silently enduring. Despite the ordeal, Ishita’s tone remained hopeful, and her message reassured fans that both she and Vayu are now on the road to recovery. The photo she shared served as a quiet testament to her resilience—a mother braving through sickness, separation, and healing, all while navigating the joys and struggles of early motherhood. With her post now trending, many fans are lauding Ishita for her honesty and strength and sending warm wishes to the entire Sheth-Dutta family. Naseeruddin Shah wraps up period saga Made in India, based on Ratan Tata

Entertainment Almighty Motion Picture has completed production on its drama series Made in India – A Titan Story, which explores the origins of one of India’s well-known consumer brands and the people who helped build it. Naseeruddin Shah wraps up period saga Made in India, based on Ratan Tata The series, produced by Almighty Motion Picture, is based on the book Titan: Inside India’s Most Successful Consumer Brand by Vinay Kamath. It traces the journey of Titan from its beginnings within the Tata Group to becoming a well-known name in the Indian consumer market, highlighting the roles of J. R. D. Tata and Xerxes Desai along the way. Legendary actor Naseeruddin Shah leads the cast as J. R. D. Tata, with Jim Sarbh portraying Xerxes Desai, Titan’s pioneering managing director. The ensemble also includes Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Lakshvir Saran, Kaveri Seth, Namita Dubey and Paresh Ganatra. Filmed on detailed sets and real locations in Mumbai, Lonavala, and Bangalore, the series also features rare access to the Titan Manufacturing Plant in Hosur and the Bombay House, the Tata Group’s headquarters. The project was made with official permission and support from the Titan Board to maintain historical and brand accuracy. “This series is not just content; it’s a cultural responsibility,” said Prabhleen Sandhu, founder of Almighty Motion Picture and the show’s producer. “We’re telling a story that is embedded in India’s industrial DNA. To film inside Bombay House and Titan’s factory wasn’t just access; it was a privilege that grounded the entire team in the gravity of what we were creating. “The unrelenting support we have received from Mr. C. K. Venkataraman (Managing Director & CEO, Titan Company Limited), Mr. Harish Bhat and Mr. Bhaskar Bhat is beyond words of gratitude. Their belief, guidance, and encouragement have been the backbone of this journey, enabling us to bring this historic story to life with authenticity and heart. We remain deeply indebted to the entire Titan Board for their trust in making this dream a reality.” The series is penned by acclaimed writer Karan Vyas, who emphasized the scale and research behind the project, “Every draft was a balance between fact and cinematic storytelling. Titan’s story is more than the rise of a brand – it’s the manifestation of a national vision. Capturing that meant months of immersion into archives, conversations, and emotion.” Director Robbie Grewal reflected on the experience, “This wasn’t just a shoot; it was a journey through living history. You can’t approach a story of this magnitude lightly—every frame had to honor the legacy of the visionaries who built it. Wrapping this project doesn’t feel like calling it a wrap; it feels like gently closing the final page of a chapter that will live on forever.” Produced by Almighty Motion Picture in collaboration with T-Series Films, Made in India – A Titan Story is scheduled to release in mid-2026 and will stream exclusively on Amazon MX Player. More than just a period drama, the series pays homage to the individuals behind some of India’s most enduring institutions. The Rodeo: CID-Rap Crossovers, Harry Styles’ Sex Toys and Dogs with Government IDs

Entertainment Photo (From Left to Right): Kevin Mazur / Getty Images, X, Instagram July has been a mind-bending, never-ending smattering of headlines that have made us do double-takes. While you were on the eternal doom-scroll sojourn, the internet’s favorite IT girl has gone from Ms. to Mrs. XCX. Meanwhile, James Gunn’s nerdy “Punkrocker” Superman has injected people with hope and kindness, making it the propaganda we should all definitely keep falling for. We’ve got a lot of ground to cover in this month’s Rodeo, our monthly roundup of the most absurd moments on the internet. Let’s get into it.  The Aurafarming Boat Kid Is Going Global You probably felt his aura 10 reels ahead. The frontman motivator for rowers at the Pacu Jalur boat racing festival, 11-year-old Rayyan Dhika, won hearts worldwide with his nonchalant charm and suave dance moves. Wading his way through virality, the Riau native is synonymous with Aura farming, a melange of Gen-Alpha slang which translates to “collecting coolness”. He became so wildly viral that celebrities like Travis Kelce and the PSG football team began imitating his steps. Now, Melly Mike, the singer behind the song ‘Young, Black and Rich’, is even heading to Indonesia from Aug. 20 to 24 to perform at the very same boat racing festival that launched his track into the viral meme stratosphere. Meanwhile, the Indonesian internet sensation has himself announced a meet and greet in Dubai via his Instagram page, signaling he’s officially making strides on the virality pipeline.  These Certified Good Boys Just Got Dog-Umented In one of the more bizarre headlines to pop up on our feed this month, a residential certificate was issued for a dog in Bihar’s Nawada district. The certificate listed the dog’s name as “Dog Babu,” with its owners thematically named “Kutta Babu” and “Kutiya Devi.” Issued via Bihar’s RTPS portal from the Masaurhi Zone office, the certificate bore official signatures, raising eyebrows over how such tampering was allowed to occur. Soon after, another application was filed in Nawada’s Sirdala block, this time under the name “Dogesh Babu.” The details listed the pet parents as “Dogesh Ke Papa” and “Dogesh’s Mami,” complete with a photo of an innocent male canine attached. An FIR was filed under multiple sections by Sirdala Zone Officer Abhinav Raj. While these pranks did elicit chuckles online, they also sparked criticism of Bihar’s RTPS system, raising serious questions about the administrative integrity of government applications. Now, ‘Dogesh Babu’ Applies For ID In Bihar, Case Filed As Per Orders https://t.co/Ko4ZRHYnMB pic.twitter.com/Bct6Ubd9gj — NDTV (@ndtv) July 30, 2025 Harry Styles Wants To Tease And Please With A New Sex Toy RangeThe ‘As It Was’ singer, who has kept a rather low profile this year, announced his recent venture into sexual wellness via Instagram, causing a whirlwind of furor and anticipation. Titled “Pleasing yourself”, it’s an extension of his gender-neutral brand ‘Pleasing’, including a double-sided vibrator and an FDA-approved silicone lubricant. Designed in collaboration with sex educator and author Zoe Ligon, the former One Direction star has previously vocalized the many facets of pleasure via the summertime hit ‘Watermelon Sugar High’. Foraying into this business, Styles has ensured that contributions would be made to the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. And let’s be honest: when you’re already a walking thirst trap, launching a line of sex toys feels like a fitting way to finish the job. Raanjhanaa Gets An AI-Altered “Happy” EndingIn a slew of AI-related headlines, Ranjhanaa’s altered ending has sent shockwaves through the circuit. The 2013 romantic drama, starring Danush and Sonam Kapoor, is going to be re-released in Tamil Nadu, under its alternate title ‘Ambikapathy’, on August 1. Globally, this is the first of its kind occurrence for cinema. Except, Eros Media Group, who hold complete rights to the film, plans to create a new, relatively “happier” climax using AI. What makes it so much worse is that they’re doing it without the director’s involvement. Aanand L Rai, the director of the film, has vehemently kept a strict distance from the development of this project. “I’m heartbroken that this is the future we’re heading toward, where intent and authorship are disposable”, he told the Press Trust of India.  On one hand, Eros Media Group terms it as “creative imagining”, while Rai blatantly puts it across as a “dystopian experiment”. This has also sparked conversations regarding intellectual property, creative ownership, authorship and a looming question of who holds the reins to the final cut? Dino James X CID: The Cameo No One Saw Coming And on the other side is a situation that would likely make you go, “Is this AI?” Indian rapper Dino James was not kidding when he spat the bars “aur mai CID mai tha” (I was in CID), all while the original CID cast of ACP Pradyuman (Shivaji Satam), Inspector Daya (Dayanand Shetty), and Senior Inspector Abhijeet (Aditya Srivastava) stood behind him. Before his rap ascent, James made a cameo in the Hindi TV show (CID, episode 560—you’re welcome), playing the role of a Kerala police officer. The track, titled “Still Here” (ft Katya Krishnan), is from the rapper’s new album Priceless, and has already amassed 1.3 million views in the past 2 weeks. He also did an acting stint in the Hindi film Mardani 2 in 2019, playing the role of a shooter. The Kiss Cam Catastrophe Continues  Andy Byron, the former CEO of Astronomer (and now apparently infidelity), is reportedly considering taking legal action against the British band Coldplay. According to a flurry of online rumors, the 50-year-old blames Coldplay for public humiliation, emotional turmoil, and invasion of privacy, though there is no legal filing yet. He allegedly called out Chris Martin’s comment (“Either they are having an affair, or they are just very shy”) for fuelling the fiasco further. Caught cozying up in the concert kiss cam with Kristin Cabot, his company’s HR executive, the alleged video of the two amassed over 128 million views, stirring a riot of memes and discourse around

Five Bollywood Films That Borrowed from Korean Cinema

Entertainment As internet users call out ‘Saiyaara’ for taking elements from the Korean classic ‘A Moment to Remember’, here are five other Bollywood films that might leave you spotting some familiar patterns Artwork by Sharanyaa Nair Korean films are known for their diversity, high production value, and consummate storytelling. From multi-layered characters to nail-biting plotlines, their influence is apparent in music, fashion, film, and culture, setting a benchmark for inspiration, from Oscar wins to OTT dominance. Bollywood isn’t far behind either. Whether officially or loosely inspired, they package these foreign movies with added masala (spice) to cater to the Indian audience’s palate. While imitation may be a sincere form of flattery, there have been instances where Indian fans have identified similarities between their favorite South Korean and Indian films, despite them not being official remakes. A classic example is YRF’s musical smash Saiyaara (2025) directed by Mohit Suri. The plot chronicles Krish Kapoor (Ahaan Panday), a brash musician who forms a deep connection with Vaani (Aneet Padda), a demure poet. The film is said to be loosely based on John H. Lee’s hit South Korean film A Moment to Remember (2004), starring protagonists Chul-Soo (Jung Woo-sung) and Sujin (Son Ye-Jin). While the plotline, character development, and story ending are not identical, what caught viewers’ eyes was how both films had a common point of conflict—early-onset Alzheimer’s. Both films see the female lead developing the disease. Even though Saiyaara’s approach and treatment differ story-wise from the Korean classic, fans on platforms such as Reddit have been actively calling out the duplicity of scenes, which received polarizing responses. A user commented, “Why can’t the makers promote it as a remake instead of insulting the audience’s intelligence?” While another pointed out, “I checked the Korean movie’s synopsis in Wikipedia and found it to be different from Saiyaara except for the Alzheimer’s plot.” In fact, according to NDTV, Director Mohit Suri has also been previously taken cues from Korean films and tailored them for an Indian audience. Even his film Ek Villain (2014) is loosely based on neo-noir action thriller A Bittersweet Life (2005), with both films revolving around a morally ambiguous protagonist whose personal choices pit him against his own crime syndicate. It makes you wonder whether Suri was a K-content enthusiast before it became a global phenomenon. It also raises the question: where does one draw the line between inspiration and plagiarism? While you let that thought marinate, here’s a list of Bollywood films adapted from their Korean counterparts, though mostly unofficially. Radhe (2021)Unofficial remake of: Outlaws (2017) Inspired by the movie Outlaws, a critically acclaimed R-rated thriller, Radhe is an action film directed by Prabhudeva. Both films are about cops taking on drug-peddling miscreants. Salman Khan plays the eponymous Radhe, a heroic cop working towards cleaning up the deteriorating drug scene in Mumbai. An Indianized version of the gritty Korean original, Radhe received a mixed reception from audiences, particularly criticizing the over-the-top characterization of the Indian police, which was more believable in Outlaws thanks to Ma Dong-seok’s (Don Lee) portrayal. The supporting cast was akin to caricatures, and the dated dialogue didn’t help. Radhe relied heavily on Salman’s star power, leading to poor pacing and unrealistic plotlines. Zinda (2006)Unofficial adaptation of: Oldboy (2003)Winner of the Grand Prix at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival and one of the greatest films of all time, Oldboy by Park Chan-wook is one of the first films that kick-started the unofficial Bollywood remake pipeline. Based on the Japanese manga of the same name, the film also had an American remake (2013). The lesser-known, unauthorized Hindi adaptation is Zinda, helmed by Sanjay Gupta in 2006. The story follows Balajeet Roy (Sanjay Dutt), who is imprisoned in a hotel room for 15 years without knowing the identity and motive of his captor. While Oldboy has a blend of mystery, crime, and a kick-ass martial arts sequence, Zinda fails to impress, despite following Oldboy’s narrative trajectory. Dhamaka (2021)Official remake of: The Terror Live (2013) Dhamaka is the Hindi version of The Terror Live (2013). The adapted plotline follows the harrowing journey of Arjun Pathak (Kartik Aryan), a radio jockey and ex-journalist, who tries to make a deal with a terrorist threatening to blow up the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. While the Indian remake brought a fresh take on directorial grounds, it failed to capture the exhilaration, believability, and suspense generated by the ambitious news anchor Yoon Young-hwa (Ha Jung-woo) in the Korean counterpart’s one-room setup. Barfi (2012)Loosely inspired by: Oasis (2002) This bittersweet romance drama has been popularly compared to Director Lee Chang-dong’s masterpiece Oasis (2002), which traces the blossoming relationship between Jong-du (Sol Kyung-gu), a man with a criminal past, and Gong-ju (Moon So-ri), a woman with cerebral palsy who faces societal ostracism. Despite this, they create their own versions of happiness and their very own love story. Their Indian equivalents are Murphy (Ranbir Kapoor), a deaf and mute man, and Jhilmil (Priyanka Chopra), an autistic woman in the period rom-com Barfi, which achieved rave reviews for its engaging narrative, memorable OST, and standout performances. Te3n (2016)Official remake of:  Montage (2013) Focusing on a layered kidnapping and murder mystery set 15 years apart, T3en, helmed by Director Ribhu Dasgupta, is the official remake of the gripping Montage (2013), starring Uhm Jung-hwa, Kim Sang-kyung, and Song Young-chang, and directed by Jeong Keun-seob. Centered around a grandfather, a priest, and a police officer, the Hindi adaptation stars Amitabh Bachchan, Vidya Balan, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The source material follows a mother who, driven by her child’s tragic past, teams up with detectives to crack a new kidnapping case. Compared to the original movie—which got several accolades and awards, including the 50th Grand Bell Awards, where Uhm Jung-hwa won the Best Actress award—T3en garnered attention for its plot and performances but ultimately failed to gain the same level of traction and critical acclaim. Park Chan-wook’s ‘No Other Choice’ Joins Venice Film Festival’s Golden Lion Race

Entertainment Lee Byung-hun plays Man-soo in ‘No Other Choice.’ Photo: courtesy of Han Cinema. Park Chan-wook’s No Other Choice will have its first public screening in the main competition section at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival (August 27 – September 6, 2025), where it is competing for the prestigious Golden Lion award. Well ahead of its theatrical release this September, there’s been a lot of hype about the film. It makes sense given it’s a Park Chan-wook movie starring two of the biggest heavyweights in Korean cinema, Lee Byung-hun and Son Ye-jin. If Park Chan-wook’s films offer a window into society and human nature, the view is anything but comforting—filled with dark impulses, unpredictable twists, and moral grey zones that challenge your perception at every turn. From Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (2002) and Oldboy (2003) to Thirst (2009), The Handmaiden (2016), and Decision to Leave (2022), his body of work cements his status as one of Korea’s most acclaimed and imaginative directors. Park’s upcoming film, No Other Choice, is based on The Ax, a 1997 horror-thriller novel by American writer Donald Edwin Westlake. The story had previously been adapted into a 2005 film of the same name by Greek-French director Costa-Gavras. Speaking about his thoughts on how he envisions his adaptation of the narrative at the 2019 Busan International Film Festival, Park said, “I wish to make this film as my masterpiece,” as reported by Variety. No Other Choice is a high-stakes drama with dark humor that follows the desperation of a man pushed to the edge after an unexpected job loss, which drives him to take extreme measures in a bid to resolve his situation. Lee Byung-hun plays Man-soo, a middle-aged family man and a loyal and dedicated employee for over two decades. In a sudden twist of fate, he’s fired from his position, leaving him to hunt for a new and equivalent job to provide for his family. What initially seems like a new but achievable challenge for him gradually turns into major frustration, to the point that he resorts to aberrant and very dangerous behavior—he starts tracking down his competitors and killing them so that he’s the only suitable candidate left for the job he’s applied for, and in the process, becomes a ruthless murderer. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Park Chan-wook revealed his intention to further explore the moral complexity of the story, specifically focusing on Man-soo’s wife, Mi-ri, played by Son Ye-jin, and enhancing her role in the film. According to Chosun Biz, Son drew inspiration from Mi-ri’s optimistic character, imagining how she would react in the film’s situation. “Mi-ri has an optimistic character and never loses her smile,” the actor expressed, as she prepares for the role in No Other Choice. The movie also boasts a stellar ensemble, including Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, Yeom Hye-ran, Cha Seung-won, and Yoo Yeon-seok in key roles. Read More

Miley Cyrus Has ‘Really Special’ Plans for ‘Hannah Montana’ 20th Anniversary

Entertainment “Without Hannah, there really wouldn’t be this kind of… this me,” the singer said in a recent interview about the Disney series that launched her career in March 2006 Miley Cyrus performs during Miley Cyrus Billions Club Series Paris at Maxim’s on June 18, 2025 in Paris, France Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for Spotify Miley Cyrus is still a few months away from the milestone 20th anniversary of “Lilly, Do You Want to Know a Secret,” the first episode of Hannah Montana. In the episode, which premiered on March 24, 2006, Miley Stewart’s best friend Lilly scores tickets to see the biggest pop star around — not knowing that she’s been the sensation getting on stage in a blonde wig for the past two years. Nearly two decades later, Cyrus is still keeping a few secrets, like what she has planned for the show’s anniversary. “I want to design something really, really special for it because it really was the beginning of all of this that now sits here today,” Cyrus recently told SiriusXM’s TikTok Radio. “Without Hannah, there really wouldn’t be this kind of… this me.” Cyrus fans have already let the excitement get the best of them. Some update accounts have started to post photoshopped emails that fabricate invitations to an anniversary collaboration with Spotify and Apple Music in a contrived effort to drive up streams on her latest album, Something Beautiful. The singer hasn’t revealed anything as of yet, but recently affirmed that she still has no desire to tour, so that more than likely won’t be in the plans, either. For Cyrus, celebrating Hannah Montana is about embracing a part of her life she once thought she wanted to run away from. “It’s so crazy to think, too, that I started as a character that I thought was going to be impossible to shed,” she said. “And now that’s something that when I walk into a space, it’s looked at as this sense of nostalgia or something that you have from your childhood, but I’ve now been as kind of integrated into everyone’s life as the character itself. So that’s exciting to get to celebrate that.” The impact of Hannah Montana is plastered all over pop. In 2020, Sabrina Carpenter recalled “watching the pilot and being like ‘I want to do that. I want to sing, and I want to act, and I want to dance. I want to do all those things.’” Carpenter, along with Chappell Roan and Olivia Rodrigo, are part of what Rolling Stone described as the Hannah Montana Generation, “young artists who are not just evoking the frilly and bold aesthetic and unapologetically sugary sweet music of the show but also the type of larger-than-life persona Montana had in comparison to ‘real-life’ Stewart.” In 2016, Cyrus commemorated the 10th anniversary of the series with a lengthy post on Instagram. “To the world it’s a celebration of 10 years, but for us the journey began way before the world had any clue who the fuck any of us are,” she wrote. “Even though I feel disconnected to who I was at that time I will always feel eternally grateful for the opportunity and platform I was given … Even though HM is chopped up into little tiny pieces and buried in my backyard she will always hold a very special place in my heart! Celebrate this day with us! Get real drunk and remember #HM4EVR.” From Rolling Stone US. Read More

Tupac Shakur Murder Suspect Files Appeal to Dismiss Charges

Entertainment Duane “Keffe D” Davis appeals to Nevada Supreme Court after lower court upheld charges Duane “Keffe D” Davis enters a courtroom in Clark County District Court for a trial readiness status check at the Regional Justice Center on June 17, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Davis was indicted on murder charges for his involvement in the killing of rapper Tupac Shakur in 1996. Steve Marcus-Pool/Getty Images The man charged with the 1996 shooting death of Tupac Shakur appealed to the Nevada Supreme Court to dismiss the murder charges against him. He filed the appeal on Tuesday after a lower court judge upheld the charges in January. Duane “Keffe D” Davis is charged with first-degree murder for his alleged role in Shakur’s shooting death. He has pleaded not guilty and has been held without bail since his arrest in September 2023. In an interview in March, he told ABC News, “I’m innocent. I ain’t killed nobody, never did ever kill nobody.” Though Davis has denied the charges against him, he also appeared to implicate himself in his memoir, Compton Street Legend, where he described the circumstances and his role in Shakur’s killing in detail. His attorney Carl Arnold claimed Davis’ constitutional rights were violated. “Mr. Davis spoke to law enforcement years ago under clear agreements that what he said couldn’t be used against him. Now, those same statements are being used as the core of the State’s case,” Arnold said in a statement provided to Rolling Stone. “That’s not just unfair—it’s unconstitutional. We’re asking the Supreme Court to intervene before this heads to trial, because no one should face prosecution based on immunized statements—especially not nearly 30 years after the fact.” In his first motion to dismiss filing in January, Arnold alleged Davis’ rights were violated due to the prosecution delay of 27 years, and that Davis was granted immunity agreements. The district court judge denied the appeal, saying he had not provided proof for the immunity deals and that the time it took for prosecution was unintentional. Per the filing obtained by Rolling Stone, Davis was interviewed multiple times, in 1998 and 1999 by federal prosecutors and again in 2008 and 2009, allegedly under an immunity agreement that his statements would not be used against him for prosecution, per the filing. In 1998 and 1999, he denied knowledge of individuals involved in Shakur’s killing. In 2008 and 2009, Davis then noted his “alleged involvement in the murder and identified the alleged shooter,” per the appeal. Arnold argued that because prosecutors did not present evidence connecting Davis to Shakur’s killing outside of his own statements, it was not enough for a trial. Prosecutors have claimed that Davis orchestrated Shakur’s murder and provided the gun used in the shooting. Authorities have alleged that the murder was retaliation for a physical altercation between Shakur and Davis’ nephew, Orlando Anderson, after a Mike Tyson fight that occurred hours before Shakur was shot.  Davis’ trial was pushed to 2026 after his attorneys filed a motion, citing the need for new witnesses and more investigation, which was granted. His trial is now set to begin in February 2026. This article was updated to include a statement from attorney Carl Arnold. From Rolling Stone US. Read More
