A well-placed industry source told us, “While exact details of the injury have been kept under wraps, Shah Rukh, along with his team, has travelled to the US for urgent medical attention. It’s nothing serious, but more of a muscular injury, as Shah Rukh over the years has injured multiple muscles of his body while performing stunts.” The source further added, “The next schedule of King will now begin in September/October as SRK has been advised to take time off for recovery. Amid rumours suggesting he had suffered a heart attack, the actor has now clarified that the issue was misreported. It was gastroesophageal reflux disease. The symptoms felt like a heart attack, but I’m totally fit,” he stated. Speculation began after Aasif shared a reflective note on his Instagram Stories on July 16. The post read, “Life is short, don’t take one day for granted. Everything can change in a moment. Be grateful for all you have and all that you are. Remember who is more important to you and always cherish them. Life is a gift and we are blessed.” The note prompted concern from fans, many of whom assumed the actor had suffered a serious cardiac episode. What Happened The actor reportedly fell ill after a long drive from his hometown in Rajasthan to Mumbai. Later that evening, he experienced chest pain and fainted in the bathroom. He was rushed to the hospital, where medical tests confirmed the condition to be gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), which can mimic heart attack symptoms. Doctors have since advised Aasif to adopt lifestyle changes, particularly related to his diet. The reports of the film are extremely positive, and hence, it will do better on Saturday than Friday. Meanwhile, Sunday will be huge and it’ll also stay strong in the weekdays and the second week as well. In such a scenario, having a big film like Son Of Sardaar 2 just a week later will not be good for the business for both films. Hence, Ajay Devgn, Jio Studios and others took the decision of moving a week ahead with their film’s release.” A trade expert commented, “It is a very wise and correct decision by the team of Son Of Sardaar 2. The incident came to light on July 18, 2025, when Bijlani visited the property after a considerable gap. Upon arrival, she discovered that the main gate of the farmhouse had been broken open. On further inspection, she found that the window grills had been damaged, one television set was missing, and another had been left broken. In her official complaint filed with Superintendent of Police Sandeep Singh Gill, Bijlani revealed that several household items, including CCTV cameras, a bed, and a refrigerator, had also been vandalised. The break-in reportedly resulted in the theft of several valuable belongings. Local police are currently investigating the matter. They are reviewing CCTV footage from the premises in an effort to identify the culprits and determine the timeline of the incident. As of now, Sangeeta Bijlani has not issued any public statement regarding the burglary, nor has she addressed it on her social media platforms. Though she has been away from the film industry for several years, Bijlani remains a prominent figure in public life.
