The clip, reportedly part of the Avengers: Doomsday teaser, shows Evans’ character approaching a building on a bike, getting into it, going through his Captain America suit and holding a baby. There are also leaked pictures showing Rogers with the baby and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell). The clip ends with a piece of text, saying, “Steve Rogers will return in Avengers: Doomsday.” If the reports about the Avengers: Doomsday teaser are true, it would show Evans’ recent denial of his involvement in the film as a case of him double bluffing. Recently, the actor told Empire that he is “happily retired” from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, MCU stars are known for denying early reports about their involvement in the franchise films, only for the rumours to turn out to be true. Andrew Garfield, for example, denied the speculation about his role in Spider-Man: No Way Home multiple times. Avengers: Endgame ends with Evans’ character passing on the mantle of being Captain America to Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson. In the recent Captain America film, too, Mackie played the titular role. However, Rogers coming back to the next instalment in the Avengers franchise might or might not mean Evans returning as Captain America as well, especially given the presence of the alternate timeline that the teaser hints at.  This is the second biggest upcoming release whose promotional material has leaked online. His directorials, Titanic (1997), Avatar (2009), and Avatar: Way of the Water (2022), have at points been the highest grossing film of all time. Forbes reported that the net worth of the director sits at $1.1 billion. Avatar is currently the highest grossing film of all time, having collected close to $2.9 billion at the box office. Avatar: Way of the Water and Titanic occupy the third and fourth positions. His films have collected more than $9 billion at the box office. Even though Cameron’s first credit as a director is for Piranha II: The Spawning (1982), the director reportedly considers The Terminator (1984) to be his first feature. He went on to direct several big budget high concept blockbusters, which were profitable at the box office. His musical performance and his thoughts on music and creativity left a lasting impression on the audiences present. The evening celebrated not only Ilaiyaraaja’s 50-year journey but also 25 years of Akshaya Patra’s service. His music and words reminded everyone that no matter how much technology advances, the heart of music is always human. Speaking ahead of the event, Ilaiyaraaja shared his perspective on artificial intelligence and its role in music. He said that AI can only rearrange what already exists, while music comes naturally from human emotion and lived experience. “Music cannot be created by machines. It comes from within,” he explained. He added that human intelligence and AI are not separate. “The so-called artificial is knowledge we acquire. AI works with what has already been made; it cannot create on its own. Music, like our names, comes naturally. It already exists within us,” he said. The composer also spoke about the spiritual side of music. Drawing on Carnatic traditions, he said that true meditation comes from stillness and emptiness, a space where music reaches the soul directly. Ilaiyaraaja reflected on why he agreed to be part of the charity concert to be held on January 10 2025. “When music is created with purity, it naturally seeks a higher purpose. But while promoting his upcoming film, Kombuseevi, the actor revealed that he has always been quippy, and revealed about a moment in Dude when he tried to improvise a joke. In an interview with Cinema Express, the actor said, “I have always been like this. I tried to make a joke in Dude, which in turn got rejected. There is a moment when there is a great news and a character has to make a call. I immediately said in character, to the other actor, ‘Make the call (a similar sounding word meaning leg), with the kai (hand).’” Sarath Kumar also revealed that ultimately, when that joke was pitched to the makers, they took a call to not add it into the film.
