Yim Si-wan has released his song, “The Reason,” the title track from his first solo mini‑album of the same name, and to all intents and purposes, it feels like a full‑circle moment. After more than a decade of an illustrious career—first as a K‑pop idol with ZE:A, then as one of Korea’s leading actors—he finally steps back into music under SM Entertainment’s new imprint, SMArt. Si-wan’s story began in 2010 when he debuted with the nine‑member boy band ZE:A, as a lead vocalist on hits like “Breathe” and “The Ghost Of Wind.” While the group toured, he caught the acting bug, landing a cameo in the historical hit Moon Embracing the Sun (2012). According to the Goa Police, an FIR was registered soon after the blaze, and a police team was dispatched to Delhi to locate the brothers. Officers found both homes locked and posted a notice at the address. A lookout circular was then requested through the Bureau of Immigration. Investigators later learned that the brothers had boarded a flight from Mumbai to Phuket at 5:30 AM on Sunday, only a few hours after the incident. Police said the two were in Delhi when the fire broke out. Multiple news reports also stated that the CBI may now approach Interpol for a Blue Corner Notice to gather details on the brothers’ location and activities as part of the investigation. The state government has also moved against the wider Romeo Lane network, sealing two of its establishments in Goa, including a beach shack and another nightlife venue. On Monday, Dec. 8, Saurabh Luthra posted an Instagram Story, saying the management was “deeply shaken” and stood in “unwavering solidarity” with the families of those who died or were injured. He added that the team would cooperate fully and extend any support required. A fifth employee, Bharat Singh, who oversaw daily operations, was detained in Delhi, while another staff member, Bharat Kohli, was also picked up in Delhi and brought to Goa for questioning. Following the tragedy, the Goa State Disaster Management Authority issued an advisory to all nightlife and hospitality venues, directing strict compliance with fire-safety, electrical, structural, and emergency-response norms. Now reports are coming in that the makers are going for a standard 4-week theatrical window before their film arrives on OTT — Andhra King Taluka is reportedly set to begin streaming on Netflix, from December 25 onwards.  The makers are yet to confirm the same. The film was produced by Mythri Movie Makers banner. Directed by Mahesh Babu P, Andhra King Taluka also starred Bhagyashri Borse, Murali Sharma, Rahul Ramakrishna, Rao Ramesh in ensemble cast, and Upendra in an extended cameo.  While there were some hopes that the film will get some advantage in its second week at the boxoffice due to unexpected postponement of Akhanda 2, The Ram Pothineni showed little signs of improvement. After collecting 1.14 crore on its second Sunday, the film witnessed major decline on 3rd Monday, collecting Rs 0.26 crore (nett), according to a report from Sacnilk.com. As of December 8, the film’s collections stand roughly near Rs. 30.5 crore.  Reportedly made on a budget of 56 crore, the film has failed to be a profitable venture for its distributors. The film was initially speculated to hit theatres for Valentine’s Day 2025 but was never announced as such by the makers. Later, the makers announced that the film will release on September 18. However, it was later postponed to October 17 to be released for the Deepavali festival. With Pradeep Ranganathan’s fourth film, Dude, helmed by Keertiswaran, slated for the festival of lights, LIK was once again postponed to December 18, 2025. However, speculations are rife that the film’s release has been delayed once again, this time scheduled for February 2026, marking the Valentine’s Day occasion. As per reports, the makers of LIK are considering this shift as James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash is opening in theatres on December 19. With the buzz the first two films generated, there is no doubt about the third film attracting audiences to the theatres, thereby reducing the market for LIK. However, the makers are yet to officially announce the postponement of the film. LIK also stars Krithi Shetty, SJ Suryah, Yogi Babu, Gouri Kishan, Seeman, Shah Ra, Mysskin, Anandraj, and Sunil Reddy, among others. Although the filmmaker is excited and awaiting the release of the Karthi-starrer, he said the experience and efforts required to bring it to the audience was akin to being “squeezed by a sugarcane juice machine.” “I was being shown many posts about how I am coming back with a film after nine years. Ideally everyone should be scared as to what I would bring to screens, but I am glad that everyone is confident. I am thankful for that,” he chuckled. “After we wrapped Soodhu Kavvum, SR Prabhu asked me if we can take a film with this particular title. I told him it is a term used for mockery and denied, but he insisted. Even Sivakumar sir was unhappy with us using the title. Later, we assured that we would take a film with the title ‘Dharmam Vellum‘ (Truth will triumph). That is Vaa Vaathiyaar. In the video, he revealed that Neelambari (Ramya Krishnan) from Padayappa was inspired by Nandhini from Kalki’s Ponniyin Selvan. He explained, “When I was in the 21st year of my career, I had already decided that in my 25th year I would produce a film in the name of my friends. The one-liner of Padayappa was actually suggested by me. Ponniyin Selvan by Kalki is one of my favourite novels, and I am a big fan of the character Nandhini. I wanted to create a full-fledged story built around a character like her. That idea stayed with me for nearly two to three years, and it eventually became the one-liner of Padayappa.” In the same video, the Jailer 2 actor also revealed that he’s developing a story for a sequel to Padayappa, with the focus on Neelambari. He said the story for the second part is currently under discussion and would be a celebration of a film like the first one.
