BREAKING: Dhurandhar follows into the footsteps of Pathaan, Animal, Stree 2, Oppenheimer; post-midnight and 6:00 am shows added in Mumbai

Entertainment In the post-pandemic era, the trend of having post-midnight shows has taken off in a huge way. Often, films that are doing exceptionally well and have a lot of demand are the ones that go for shows at 12:00 am, 1:00 am and so on. Sooryavanshi (2021) was the first one to take the initiative and then it was followed by hits like Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022), Drishyam 2 (2022), Jawan (2023), Pathaan (2023), Avatar: The Way Of Water (2022), Oppenheimer (2023), Animal (2023), Stree 2 (2024), F1: The Movie (2025), Sitaare Zameen Par (2025), Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle (2025), etc. And now, Dhurandhar has joined the coveted list. BREAKING: Dhurandhar follows into the footsteps of Pathaan, Animal, Stree 2, Oppenheimer; post-midnight and 6:00 am shows added in Mumbai As of 5:00 pm on December 5, 6 theatres in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region have added post-midnight and early morning shows of Dhurandhar on Saturday, December 6. Maxus’s Borivali property comes next as it’ll play 4 shows at the ungodly hour, at 12:55 am, 2:00 am, 5:00 am and 6:00 am. Metro Inox has added a show at 1:30 am while PVR Citi Mall and MovieMax Sion will have a show at 6:00 am and 6:50 am, respectively. SHOCKING: ‘James Bond’ replaced with ‘Tatya Tope’ in a crucial dialogue; has the team behind Sholay

Entertainment Sholay (1975), one of the greatest films of Indian cinema, is all set for a re-release on December 12. Titled Sholay – The Final Cut, it’ll showcase the original ending, which was never released theatrically until now. The trailer of the film was uploaded earlier in the day, on December 5, and it has shocked the die-hard fans of Sholay. This is because the makers have altered a crucial dialogue of the film. SHOCKING: ‘James Bond’ replaced with ‘Tatya Tope’ in a crucial dialogue; has the team behind Sholay – The Final Cut TAMPERED with the classic? In the film, Basanti (Hema Malini) remarks, “Bade nishaanchi lagte ho” while talking about Veeru (Dharmendra). In reply, Jai jokes, “Haan, James Bond ke pote hai yeh”. In the trailer uploaded of Sholay – The Final Cut, Jai’s dialogue is “Haan, Tatya Tope ke pote hai yeh”! As expected, the fans are aghast with the change and it has been seen as an attempt by the team behind the release in tampering with a classic film. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Sholay is a film that many of us have seen time and again. We know its dialogues by-heart and they are a part of our life now. Hence, any change in the dialogue will immediately get noticed and it’ll also hurt millions of fans.” #Sholay #SholayReRelease #SholayTheFinalCut Video #1 From The New Trailer Video #2 From The Film James Bond Gets Replaced by Tatya Tope. Tatya Tope must have been dubbed with James Bond during the original film. In Cinemas December 12 Trailer Link: https://t.co/dFMNQUIopD pic.twitter.com/5vXx2CAhYg — amit dadhich (@amit12354) December 5, 2025 The source added, “Just what exactly was the need to change the dialogue? Who asked them to do so? Does Mr Ramesh Sippy and writers Salim-Javed approve of it? And how did they dub for it? I am sure Mr Bachchan hasn’t dubbed. Did they use AI for it? And how many more dialogues have been ruined in such a manner? God knows.” The original ending In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, director Ramesh Sippy spoke about the original ending, “For 50 years, this is the version that people are familiar with. Also, in 1975, it was the time of the Emergency. So, we couldn’t argue too much. But the end that I put in had to be shot (at the last minute). This changed climax was the same ending that took place in every film at that time. The police comes and says, “Ruk jaao”! So, it was a typical ending. That’s what I didn’t like; there was no other reason. However, the Censor officials stressed that “He’s an officer. He should not be taking the law into his own hands”. Actually, I can’t say hands as he didn’t have any (laughs)!” Also Read: Ramesh Sippy revisits 50 years of Sholay, reveals lost ending and shares rare behind-the-scenes memories at IFFI More Pages: Sholay Box Office Collection Tags : Bollywood News, Dharmendra, Dialogue, Down The Memory Lane, Flashback, Hema Malini, James & Bond, News, SHOCKING, Sholay, Tatya Tope, Throwback BOLLYWOOD NEWS – LIVE UPDATES Catch us for latest Bollywood News, New Bollywood Movies update, Box office collection, New Movies Release , Bollywood News Hindi, Entertainment News, Bollywood Live News Today & Upcoming Movies 2025 and stay updated with latest hindi movies only on Bollywood Hungama. Is Priyanka Chopra replacing Deepika Padukone in Kalki 2898 AD 2? Here’s what we know

Entertainment Deepika Padukone’s withdrawal from the sequel to Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD left a yawning chasm in the film’s stellar cast. Is Priyanka Chopra replacing Deepika Padukone in Kalki 2898 AD 2? Here’s what we know We now hear that Priyanka Chopra Jonas, currently shooting for another Telugu mega-project, Rajamouli’s Varanasi, is going to replace Deepika in Kalki 2898 AD 2. How far is this true? Here is what this writer’s very reliable source in Hyderabad has revealed. “Priyanka Chopra Jonas is most definitely in serious negotiations for this project. However, there are some hurdles, ironically similar to the obstacles which expelled Deepika from the project. Priyanka requires flexibility regarding her time and schedule in order to fulfil her mom duties. However, this is not an insurmountable issue, as Priyanka is agreeable to travelling with her daughter to locations.” A bigger problem is the remuneration. Apparently Priyanka is asking for almost the same price as Deepika. The writer reached out to the Kalki 2898 AD producer Priyanka Dutta for a confirmation. She chose not to reply. Entertainment Bollywood Hungama created a stir in the industry by breaking the news that Aditya Dhar and Jio Studios have decided to release their next, Dhurandhar, in two parts. As expected, the news spread like wildfire. Now that the Aditya Dhar-directorial venture has released, it has become clear that Dhurandhar, starring Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun is indeed a two-part saga. BREAKING: Dhurandhar ends with the promise of a sequel; to release on Eid, on March 19, 2026; clash with Toxic, Dhamaal 4 It has come to light that Dhurandhar’s first part is 3 hours and 34 minutes long; in other words, it has a run time of 214 minutes. The lengthy but engaging first part ends with the promise of the second part. And that’s not all. The end credit of the first part features glimpses from the second part. It gives an indication on how the story would move in the second part. Also the makers have announced in the end credits that the sequel will release in cinemas on March 19, 2026, that is on Eid. Thus, it’ll clash with Toxic and Dhamaal 4. Bollywood Hungama earlier exclusively also informed the readers that 2000 fans would assemble at the grand trailer launch of Dhurandhar at the iconic Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai. We were also the first ones to break the news that Dhurandhar has a run time of more than 3 hours and 30 minutes, which makes it one of the lengthiest films of Hindi cinema ever. After giving audiences a gripping 214-minute first chapter and a tantalizing peek into what lies ahead, the film has ensured that the wait for part two will be intense – and Bollywood Hungama will keep bringing you every exclusive update. Angammal Movie Review: A poetic masala tale of chaos, choice, and conformity

Entertainment Published on :  05 Dec 2025, 5:57 am Angammal(3.5 / 5) Angammal Movie Review: Freedom. It is quite an interesting beast because everyone wants it, but somehow they are tuned to keep it caged and away from others who might not have it. This dichotomy is very telling of the human mind and its vagaries. There is always someone who has more freedom than you, and someone who doesn’t have as much. It is supposed to be an absolute unit, but there are enough caveats in freedom to allow oppression of some kind to be perpetuated through avenues like patriarchy, misogyny, and simple conditioning. Director Vipin Radhakrishnan’s Angammal is one such film that shows how exercising freedom always comes at a cost in a society that values conformity.  Director: Vipin Radhakrishnan Cast: Geetha Kailasam, Saran Sakthi, Bharani, Thendral Raghunathan, Mullaiyarasi Angammal (Geetha Kailasam) is a maverick matriarch who lives life on her own terms. She rides around her dusty old village on her rickety moped, delivering milk to all the villagers. She has a set of friends who sit around and make fun of people walking by. She dotes on her granddaughter, but wags her acerbic tongue at her daughter-in-law. She doesn’t show outward emotions to her wayward elder son, Sudalai (Bharani), and pours all of it on her second son, Pavalam (Saran Sakthi), who is a doctor. Basically, she has stopped mothering her firstborn, but never allowed the second son to wean off. This is wonderfully reflected in the way she asks Sudalai if Pavalam is angry with her, even though it’s been ages since she even had a decent conversation with the former. The irony isn’t missed by Sudalai, who is a silent spectator to all that unfolds in front of him. But one fine day, when Angammal is forced to live life on someone else’s terms, all hell breaks loose.  Now, these terms aren’t something that might seem too exacting on Angammal. Pavalam wants his future in-laws to see his mother as a woman keeping up with modernity, and not someone who shies away from wearing a blouse. Angammal, who has never worn a blouse under her saree, doesn’t want to do it simply because… she doesn’t want to do it. But will society, and her own family, allow her that freedom of choice? It might seem a simple ask, but director Vipin, who has adapted Perumal Murugan’s short story, Kodithuni, asks bigger questions about society’s inherent need to have people conform to the majority. Remember Kamal Haasan’s rant around the release of Virumaandi, where the biggest truth about the cultural fabric of a society is its dynamism? Similarly, with every woman, including her own friends, adorning a blouse, the pressure gets to Angammal. Things go down a spiral when the concept of beauty takes a new form in her life. It makes her wonder if she isn’t beautiful. It makes her think whether she would be accepted only if a lifestyle change were incorporated. Angammal, a queen in her own right, goes down a path of self-doubt. These scenes are wonderfully written and directed by Vipin, who fills them with enough levity that keep us engaged in a story of a 60-70-year-old woman, who doesn’t want to wear a simple blouse.  While the story is about the piece of clothing, Angammal is mainly about how the older generation is either left behind in the name of evolution or asked to undergo a drastic change to keep up. The film acts as a reminder of how such expectations are definitely an act of violence against the geriatric, who have done enough to deserve a life of rest. But it isn’t like they are whitewashed in Angammal. It is also shown how they force the next generation to dance to their whims and fancies, and the unresolved resentment in such families.  Angammal isn’t a perfect woman, but it is these imperfections that make her human. It is the way she treats her daughter-in-law, Sharada, that lays bare the bitterness in her heart. Of course, she is the product of her times, but the makers show us who she truly is, and in a way, it allows us to feel bad about her as much as we feel bad for her.  The feeling of relatability with almost every character in Angammal comes through mainly because of the strong performances from everyone in the cast. Despite being a largely one-note character, Saran plays Pavalam with a sense of urgency that wonderfully brings out the brashness of the character. Being the son who was doted upon, Pavalam is very angry when things don’t go his way, but he still cannot be too angry because… he is a good son. Saran gets this thin line right, and so does Bharani, who reminded me of the Nadhaswaram-playing character (Prasad Babu) from Unnal Mudiyum Thambi. It is a beautiful character that gets a solid monologue towards the end, and Bharani delivers a wonderfully restrained performance that screams to the industry that he is a force to be reckoned with.  Thendral Raghunathan as Sharada is a terrific addition to Angammal as she oscillates between frustration, anger, happiness, benevolence, and outright scheming with such ease that it is unnerving. There is a quiet confidence in Mullaiyarasi’s performance as Pavalam’s girlfriend, Jasmine. She doesn’t take his disrespect without a fight, and stands her ground quietly but fiercely.  And then, there is Geetha Kailasam playing the titular role. There is a lot of playfulness underneath the toxicity. And there is a lot of toxicity underneath her sarcasm. There is a lot of hurt underneath the bravado, and a lot of bravado underneath the defiance. In a different era, this role would have been tailor-made for actor Manorama, one of the greatest to have ever graced our screens, and Geetha Kailasam definitely reminded yours truly of her, and went on to still make Angammal her own.  The film begins with a static shot of a barren field

Kuttram Purindhavan Series Review: Pasupathy and Lakshmi Priyaa carry a gripping, pensive and poignant mystery

Entertainment Published on :  05 Dec 2025, 2:51 am Kuttram Purindhavan(3 / 5) Every character in Kuttram Purindhavan battles their own demons. Gautham (Vidaarth) is a recently demoted cop, who is struggling to win the trust of seniors and fully get back into the force. Esther (Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli) has an abusive husband and barely lives for herself, and Bhaskaran (Pasupathy) carries a mountain of secrets within himself, while battling his grandson’s serious brain illness. And what throws these people out of the frying pan and into the fire is Esther’s daughter Mercy’s disappearance. The case has more to do with exposing the psyche of each personality than the case itself. Think of it like a card game where each player’s power, trump and weakness cards are identified, assessed and used in various scenarios unbeknownst to them. Tricky spaces and dark alleyways—but debutant Selvamani Muniyappan doesn’t flinch before letting his viewers into this path where there is no way to return. Cast: Pasupathy, Vidaarth, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli and others Director: Selvamani Muniyappan Streaming on: SonyLiv Perhaps, the series’ first drawback is that it gives away the central conflict in its first trailer and animation title card. While this does pull its engaging factor down a notch, it doesn’t stand as a major flaw. The filmmaker keeps enough pulsating points in each episode, not as a mere clickbait strategy, but makes it tight, tense and gripping in its screenplay even when audiences are aware of what will be thrown at them. It is an unlikely move, and a bold one at that, for the filmmaker to throw in all his dice in the first two episodes and build the story from there, betting it all on one powerhouse performer Pasupathy. Let’s just say that long stretches of him utilising a certain ‘cold equipment’ and the heaviness in its unavailability, sends a chill down the spine. Set within a small village where everyone is a neighbour, and every character is a known person, there are not many turns one can take in a whodunnit to establish the key culprit, but Kuttram Purindhavan keeps the guesses aplenty, especially in the last two climactic episodes.   Guilt is a mighty emotion. And it tugs and pulls Bhaskaran into places he hasn’t seen before. He becomes Lady Macbeth herself, trying to wash off blood from his hands before it is too late. Kuttram Purindhavan offers a rare insight into this guilt that engulfs him throughout the seven episodes, and the emotion that only seems to get stronger with every episode. This guilt also spills over into all his relationships, including his wife, Gautham, townsfolk and even his grandson. The series allows all these scenes to breathe, neither rushing in or dragging to the finish line. However, Selvamani treads into safe zones towards the final few episodes, and the series could have benefited if it dealt head-on into several grey areas instead of offering an easy solution. After all, humans are complicated beings. Take for instance, Esther. She is a flawed mother and searches for answers in her prayers. She is assertive and expresses her emotions without any filter of second thoughts, and once she makes her choice, she doesn’t allow anyone else to change it. But her character desperately required much more writing than just being depicted as a helpless person, wailing and frantically looking for her daughter. Following a big reveal, the series also drops the ball, not pushing itself with its storyline, and a major chunk of inspiration for the shocking finale seems to have come from the playbook of Drishyam and Secret Window. However, Kuttram Purindhavan has emerged as one of the most engaging and effective stories to have come out of the Tamil OTT space this year, carrying within itself many tender and meditative moments.
