With only a couple of songs and a few talkie portions left to film, the team has already moved into post-production, and a title announcement is expected to be out soon. Interestingly, the film has taken a new direction as the team has now decided to mount it as a bilingual, releasing it in both Kannada and Hindi. Director Srinivas Raju confirms the development, noting that the decision comes at a time when the Hindi industry is increasingly looking toward content from the South. “We are working on releasing the film in both Kannada and Hindi for a couple of reasons,” Srinivas Raju explains. “Hindi audiences are engaging with South films in a big way. I felt this was the right moment to present a different Ganesh to the Hindi audience.” Ganesh is no stranger to Hindi viewers. His breakout film Mungaru Male, the 2006 blockbuster, was widely discussed across industries and was later picked up by Boney Kapoor to be remade in Hindi. “This will be a straight Hindi version and not a dubbed one. We are bringing in experts who can craft the Hindi dialogues and lyrics with authenticity. I genuinely want to explore the Hindi market,” he adds. The film marks the debut of Devika Bhat, while Malvika Sharma makes her first appearance in Kannada cinema. While music director Hesham Abdul Wahab, known for his acclaimed work in Malayalam and Telugu films, is composing for his first Kannada project,  cinematography is handled by Venkat Prasad. The makers are targeting a summer 2026 release, positioning it as Ganesh’s first film of the year. Since there was a lot of discussion centred on the film’s duration, the makers have trimmed the film by 17 minutes. The cuts, made in the first half, are now part of the new version currently running in theatres. Produced by Servegara Silver Screens and Suni Cinemas, Gatha Vaibhava unfolds as a fantasy drama that blends history, mythology and destiny into a single narrative arc. The plot follows Purathan and Adhunika, whose chance meeting in the present sets off an unexpected chain of events. As they begin to uncover strange connections between them, they find themselves drawn into a mystical journey that reveals their intertwined past lives. Their story moves through the celestial world of Devaloka, the tumultuous era of Vasco da Gama’s sea voyage and the culturally rich coastal regions of pre-independence Karnataka, slowly piecing together a timeless bond shaped across different eras. The team had originally planned a simultaneous Kannada and Telugu release. While the Kannada version is already in theatres, the trimmed Telugu version is now set for a release on December 12. Produced by Prasad Kumar Naik under Sunrise Entertainment and Films, the film marks director Mani AJ Karthikeyan’s Kannada debut after previously working in Tulu cinema. True to its title, the film carries a thoughtful tagline, which translates to “Stop, Think and Proceed in Life.” The story follows Srihan Deepak, who plays the son of a businessman, who is forced to take up a job as a delivery boy. Divya Suresh stars opposite him in the film, which also features Tulu star Aravind Bolar and Ondu Motteya Kathe actor Shylashree Moolki, along with Chindodi Vijay Kumar, Srijan, Meenakshi Hegde, Manas and Umesh Hegde Kadtala in key roles. Director Mani describes the film as a journey of three characters, symbolically named Red, Yellow and Green, whose lives intersect as they search for answers. They loved the Challenging Star’s styling and his swag in the song, and were more than pleased with Anirudh Sastry’s lyrics and Ajaneesh B Loknath’s composition. However, not long after, netizens began pointing out the ‘origin’ of the lyrics and that it does not come from a good place. Entertainment Choice of lyrics not intentional; suits situation in film Idre Nemdiyaag Irbek, as it turns out, is something that Darshan had said in a leaked audio clip that went viral, in which he is heard abusing his wife Vijayalakshmi with the choicest expletives. Director Prakash Veer claims that he was not aware of this backstory to the lyrics when Anirudh sent him the version. He liked it and felt that it suited the character and the story. “It was only much later that I realized there’s more to the lyrics, but it was not intentional that we used that bit,” Prakash had said at the recent media briefing.
