Entertainment The shoot of Shraddha Kapoor’s upcoming biographical drama Eetha has been put on hold after the actress sustained an injury while filming a demanding Lavani sequence. According to a report in Mid-Day, the incident occurred during an intense dance performance designed to reflect the powerful stage presence of folk legend Vithabai Narayangaonkar, whom Kapoor portrays in the film. Shraddha Kapoor injures herself during Lavani shoot for Eetha, production temporarily halted: Report The report quoted a source explaining that the choreography required Kapoor to perform a series of rapid, consecutive steps set to Ajay–Atul’s high-tempo composition. “Lavani music characteristically has fast-paced beats and a quick tempo. In this number, Shraddha — sporting a vibrant Nauvari saree, heavy jewellery, and a kamarpatta — had to perform multiple steps in succession to the beats of the dholki,” the source said. To authentically embody a young Vithabai, Kapoor had also gained over 15 kilos for the role. The source shared that during one step, she unintentionally transferred her weight onto her left foot, lost her balance and injured herself. Director Laxman Utekar immediately suspended the Nashik schedule. However, Kapoor, hoping the lost days could still be utilised, suggested reworking the plan to accommodate close-up scenes. The team then shifted to a set in Madh Island, where she filmed emotional portions for a few days. But as the pain intensified, the production was forced to halt again. The unit is now expected to regroup after two weeks, once Kapoor has fully recovered. A couple of weeks ago, it was reported that Randeep Hooda has been cast as the male lead in Eetha. Sources indicate that the next phase of shooting is slated to begin later this month in Mumbai. “Randeep plays the romantic lead opposite Shraddha. The makers are confident about the casting, as both bring depth and versatility that align perfectly with Laxman Utekar’s vision,” a source revealed. Eetha traces the remarkable life and artistic legacy of Vithabai Narayangaonkar, one of Maharashtra’s most celebrated folk performers. Known for her commanding performances and dedication to preserving Lavani and Tamasha, Vithabai played a crucial role in shaping the cultural identity of the region. Over her illustrious career, she was honoured with two President’s Awards, and her contribution continues to inspire generations of artists. Siddhanth is scheduled to record his statement at the Ghatkopar ANC unit on November 25. After Orry, Siddhanth Kapoor summoned by ANC in ongoing Rs 252-crores drug probe Alongside Siddhanth, social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has also been summoned to appear at the ANC Ghatkopar unit on November 26 for recording his statement related to the case. This development signifies the ongoing investigation into a major drug racket. Siddhanth Kapoor’s legal troubles in connection with drug consumption are not new. In 2022, he was arrested but later released on station bail after medical tests confirmed drug use. Bengaluru Police had detained him earlier for allegedly consuming drugs at a party in the city. Meanwhile, Orry was among several individuals named in an FIR filed on March 15, 2025, by Katra police for consuming alcohol at a hotel in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir—an act prohibited in that religious location. The Jammu and Kashmir Police issued a press statement emphasizing strict action against such violations at divine places, ordered by SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh. On Thursday, the singer reposted a photo to her Instagram Stories — of herself twirling a baton on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon — with the caption, “Moments before Covid.” Grande’s brief mention of the diagnosis was followed by a countdown to the release of the second Wicked film, out Friday. The musician has not shared further information about her well-being. The Covid diagnosis came after she skipped interviews at the New York premiere of Wicked: For Good in solidarity with Cynthia Erivo, who lost her voice and was “not feeling well” during it. According to Variety, Grande also pulled out of appearances with Erivo on The Kelly Clarkson Show and Q&A discussions for the film, which were scheduled over the next week. The Wicked: For Good press run has had several mishaps over the last few weeks: Grande was unable to make it to the first premiere in Brazil due to “safety issues” and flight delays. “My team and Universal have tried every single thing possible to fix this, we’ve searched every other flight… and absolutely nothing was available or possible that would get us there in time,” Grande said at the time. And during the Singapore premiere, Grande was rushed by a man, who was later arrested and charged with being a public nuisance. On Wednesday, DJ Premier revealed during a recent show that the album is dropping on December 12. “How many people are ready for that Nas-Premier album? December 12th, get ready motherfuckers,” he belted, before playing their “Represent” classic from Illmatic. The project will be the last from Mass Appeal’s Legend Has It… series, which has released albums from five other legendary acts: Slick Rick, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Mobb Deep, Big L, with De La Soul’s Cabin In The Sky coming tomorrow.  Last April, the two released “Define My Name,” promising that the album, whose name hasn’t been revealed, was “coming soon.” Mass Appeal’s press release for the track also promised a late 2024 release. But instead, the album was rolled into the Legend Has It… series. The date confirmation brings satisfaction to hip-hop heads who have been seeking the long-discussed project. As early as 2006, the frequent collaborators had promised that an album was in the works.  “I can’t wait for people to finally hear it. I don’t know about anybody else, but for me and him, it was personally a long time coming for us to do it,” Nas told Rolling Stone in October. He also said that some of the creative ideas that they’ve previously discussed would be on the upcoming project: “I’m going to say at least two of those ideas happened on this album. In weird ways, I feel I’m back to where I first started, which is, I just went where the work was. Everything is in storage, and I hope at some point, if things continue to improve, that I’ll be able to decide where I want to settle down again. I’m living in hotels, I’m living in Airbnbs, I’m going where the work is. I literally have no home, that’s what I’m attempting to explain.” He described his financial situation as “not great” and admitted that bankruptcy is something that has been “discussed.” Over the past several years, Spacey has been accused of sexual misconduct by more than a dozen men. He has denied all of the allegations. In 2023, Spacey was found not guilty in a London court for a case in which four men said he sexually assaulted them between 2001 and 2013. He was also found not liable in a 2022 civil lawsuit brought by actor Anthony Rapp, who claimed that Spacey had molested him when he was 14 years old. Since 2017, when the allegations came to light, Spacey has struggled to be hired as an actor. He has appeared in a few projects and recently performed a variety show in Cyprus, which is the center-point of The Telegraph feature. In the interview, he claimed he is slowly getting more work. “We are in touch with some extremely powerful people who want to put me back to work,” he said. “And that will happen in its right time. But I will also say what I think the industry seems to be waiting for is to be given permission — by someone who is in some position of enormous respect and authority.” He continued, of his supposed place on Hollywood’s blacklist, “So, my feeling is if Martin Scorsese or Quentin Tarantino call Evan [his manager, Evan Lowenstein] tomorrow, it will be over. I will be incredibly honored and delighted when that level of talent picks up the phone.” Despite his financial woes, Spacey said he has not “felt isolated at all.” “But, also, it’s been incredibly positive,” he said. “To have an opportunity to stop, look at my life, ask questions. Why was I such a good villain, why did I fit so well into a narrative that was out there?
