ELLIOTT COMMUNITY MVP
DeShon Elliott’s 2025 season didn’t go the way that he wanted. He left the Steelers’ Week 1 game with an injury, and although he returned shortly after that, he suffered another injury in Week 8, one that’s seemingly sidelined him for the rest of the season. He was one of the Steelers’ best defensive players last year, and that unit misses him now.
However, Elliott isn’t sitting around moping while he’s injured. ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted that Elliott has been named the Week 14 NFLPA Community MVP. He earned that honor for opening the “Victory Vault,” a food pantry aimed at supplying middle-school students with food. It’s a nice effort by a player whose season has been full of bad luck.

BEARS OT PRAISES WATT
The Steelers lost a close game against the Chicago Bears in Week 12. While they made several plays, they failed to make enough of them in the second half. That allowed the Bears to mount a comeback in an eventual 31-28 win. T.J. Watt made arguably the biggest play for the Steelers, knocking the ball out of Caleb Williams’ hands with Nick Herbig recovering in the end zone for a touchdown.
Appearing recently on Terron Armstead’s YouTube channel, Bears RT Darnell Wright listed Watt as the second-best player that he’s gone up against in the NFL. He also said that he felt like he settled in against Watt but that it was still a tough matchup. the Houston Texans’ Danielle Hunter was the player Wright listed above Watt.
TEE HIGGINS BACK
The Steelers will battle the Baltimore Ravens Sunday for first place in the AFC North. The two teams are 6-6 and atop the division, but the Ravens own the tiebreaker. However, the Cincinnati Bengals aren’t out of the race for the division crown. They’re two games back of first place, and they’re playing the Buffalo Bills this week. One of their stars is returning, too.
Wide receiver Tee Higgins is back for the Bengals, according to Around the NFL on Twitter. He missed their game last week due to a concussion. Now, the Bengals will have Higgins, Ja’Marr Chase, and Joe Burrow together for their playoff push.
