FORMER STEELERS OL TOGETHER
Maurkice Pouncey was inducted into the Steelers Hall of Honor this weekend. He was joined by Joey Porter Sr. and Ben Roethlisberger. However, Pouncey also brought along some of his other former teammates for the occasion.
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Brian Batko on Twitter, Pouncey had David DeCastro and Alejandro Villanueva in attendance for his induction. All three were key pieces of the Steelers’ offensive line during the 2010s. They protected Roethlisberger and helped the Steelers put together some of their best offenses. It was likely a nice moment for all of them.

FARRIOR LEADS TOWEL TWIRL
The Steelers have had plenty of legendary defenders in their history. That includes Hall of Famers like Joe Greene, Mel Blount, and Troy Polamalu. However, they’ve also had some more underrated defenders. That includes linebacker James Farrior. While Farrior likely won’t make the Pro Football Hall of Fame, he still put together a solid career, including two Super Bowl wins.
Farrior also returned to Pittsburgh recently. He led the Terrible Towel Twirl before the Steelers’ Week 15 game against the Miami Dolphins. There were many legends in attendance, and Farrior helped build excitement. He must have been good luck, too, because the Steelers put together one of their best games of the year.
SKOWRONEK GIVING AWAY SHIRT
Ben Skowronek joined the Steelers right before the 2024 season started. Since coming to Pittsburgh, he’s made a few plays, mostly on special teams. That includes making a great move to down a punt near the end zone in the Steelers’ Week 15 win over the Miami Dolphins.
Skowronek is currently battling to make the Pro Bowl as a special teamer this year. To help promote that, he stated on Twitter that he’ll be giving away the shirt that he was wearing before the game. To enter, fans just have to retweet Skowronek’s post. A retweet also counts as a vote for Skowronek for the Pro Bowl. Hopefully, all of his campaigning earns him the honor.
