US President Donald Trump on Friday announced that his administration will work to “permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries” to allow what he called the American system to “fully recover.”

In a lengthy post on Truth Social, Trump said the country’s technological progress had been undermined by current immigration frameworks.

“Even as we have progressed technologically, Immigration Policy has eroded those gains and living conditions for many,” he wrote.

Trump outlined a sweeping set of measures he said his administration intends to pursue, including the termination of what he called “millions of Biden illegal admissions, including those signed by Sleepy Joe Biden’s Autopen.”

He added that the government would “remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States, or is incapable of loving our Country,” and “end all Federal benefits and subsidies to noncitizens of our Country.”

He also pledged to denaturalise migrants who he said undermine “domestic tranquility,” and to deport any foreign national who is a public charge, security risk, or ‘non-compatible with Western Civilization.’”

Trump described the effort as aimed at achieving a “major reduction in illegal and disruptive populations, including those admitted through an unauthorised and illegal Autopen approval process.”

“Only REVERSE MIGRATION can fully cure this situation,” he wrote.

He ended the post with a sharply worded Thanksgiving message:

“HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL, except those that hate, steal, murder, and destroy everything that America stands for — You won’t be here for long!”

Donald Trump’s post on Truth Social

Before his announcement, Trump had posted an image showing a massive crowd, and wrote, “This is part of the horrendous airlift from Afghanistan.”

“Hundreds of thousands of people poured into our Country totally unvetted and unchecked. We will fix it, but will never forget what Crooked Joe Biden and his Thugs did to our Country!” (sic), he mentioned.

Donald Trump’s announcement comes a day after two National Guard members were shot near the White House in an ambush that investigators say was carried out by an Afghan national.

One of the two guards died early this morning.

In his address to the nation, Trump blamed the attack on the Biden-era immigration vetting failures as he ordered a sweeping review of asylum cases.

The US President has already made cracking down on both legal and illegal immigration a centrepiece of his presidency, an opening to argue that even legal pathways like asylum pose security risks for Americans.

Further, less than 24 hours after the shooting, Trump officials began ordering widespread reviews of immigration policies.

According to the officials related to the Department of Homeland Security, the Trump administration was launching a review of all asylum cases approved under the Biden administration, as well as Green Cards issued to citizens of 19 countries.

Earlier this month, Donald Trump’s administration revoked around 80,000 non-immigrant visas since its inauguration on January 20 for offences ranging from driving under the influence to assault and theft.

The administration has also adopted a stricter policy on granting visas, with tightened social media vetting and expanded screening.

Around 16,000 of the visa revocations were tied to cases of driving under the influence, while about 12,000 were for assault and another 8,000 for theft.
