Drake wagers huge $200,000 bet on Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua
Although he is being counted out by anyone who has any sort of idea about boxing, the 28-year-old has found a supporter in famous worldwide rapper, Drake.
The Canadian rapper is an avid combat sports fan and over the past few years especially, he has been known to wager huge amounts of money on boxing and UFC fights.
And it is a running joke within the combat sports community that whoever Drake bets on becomes cursed, as he rarely picks the winner correctly.
In Paul’s highly controversial fight against Mike Tyson last November, Drake wagered a huge $355,000 bet on Tyson to beat the YouTuber turned boxer, subsequently losing his money.
However, after going against ‘The Problem Child’ with his last bet, this time, Drake is backing Jake Paul to pull off the biggest upset in sporting history.
The Canadian shared his bet-slip online this Friday evening, showing that he has wagered a huge $200,000 on Jake to beat Joshua, a bet that returns $1,640,000.
“Jakeyyyy boy, lock the f— in,” Drake said in a post on his Instagram story.
What’s your price? 💰 😅

Jake Paul is actually ranked higher than Joshua
There is a good reason as to why Paul is such a heavy underdog going into this clash with the former four-belt heavyweight champion.
At one point in his career, Joshua was widely regarded as the face of boxing, and he is credited with somewhat saving the popularity of the sport in the United Kingdom.
Despite that, over the last few years, the 36-year-old has showcased clear signs of regression, and he likely doesn’t have many years left in the sport.
And although Paul is a huge underdog in this fight, he is actually ranked higher than Joshua, who doesn’t hold a ranking in the heavyweight division.
‘The Problem Child’ is in fact ranked #15 in the Cruiserweight rankings, making him eligible for a title shot in the future.
