Truthfully, I never saw this coming.
There are approximately one million things to love about Dunkin’. Perhaps you’re a Munchkins aficionado and love grabbing the seasonal Munchkins buckets. (By the way, I’m happy to confirm that the chain is bringing back the Halloween version.) Or maybe you love nothing more than grabbing an iced coffee from the chain when that afternoon slump hits.
I’m in the latter camp…the iced coffees are my go-to! My favorite flavor is probably the Butter Pecan, which I wait all year for. But when it’s not summertime, I will usually add the Caramel Swirl to my drink. And apparently I’m not the only one, because this is Dunkin’s bestselling swirl flavor.
So imagine how happy I was to see my beloved Caramel Swirl being part of one of Dunkin’s most exciting collaborations ever: a Dunkin’ Kahlúa liqueur. I’m about to clear out some pantry space and stock up.
What is the new Dunkin’ Kahlúa liqueur?
Taste of Home, Courtesy Dunkin’
I did not see this coming! I mean, sure, coffee and alcohol go incredibly well together—just ask anyone who’s had an espresso martini or an Irish coffee. And while Bailey’s is a cream liqueur, Kahlúa is a coffee-flavored liqueur. It makes sense that Kahlúa would pair so naturally with Dunkin’s Caramel Swirl flavor.
The Dunkin Kahlúa liqueur is officially known as the Kahlúa Dunkin’ Caramel Swirl Cream Liqueur. It’s 16% ABV and is described as a “luscious pour” with notes of toffee, vanilla and dulce de leche blended with hints of coffee and chocolate. I think I fell in love just reading that, honestly.
This sounds like it would taste amazing over ice, and it has cozy fall written all over it. I’m imagining an overcast, lazy Sunday afternoon sipping on this drink and reading a nice book. Or, for a totally different vibe, you could use it in an espresso martini to add a splash of caramel flavor.
Where can I purchase the Dunkin’ Kahlúa liqueur?
Here’s the best part: It’s now available nationwide! You can purchase it wherever you get Kahlúa, like liquor stores or grocery stores that have an expanded alcohol section. Oh, and I actually saved the best news for last. This is part of a permanent addition to the Kahlúa family of drinks. So no need to stock up; you can sip on this iconic collab whenever you want a little something extra in your cup of joe.
