Lollapalooza India has dropped its strongest hint yet that Linkin Park will headline the 2026 edition. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), organisers wrote: “Early Bird Pricing – SOLD OUT! Thank you, thank you, thank you, you’re far too kind, Lolla Fam❤️ Be back here tomorrow bright & early at 9:30 AM.”
The repeated “Thank you, thank you, thank you, you’re far too kind” isn’t random. It’s lifted straight from Numb/Encore, the band’s iconic collaboration with Jay-Z, which also appears in Jay-Z’s 2009 track Thank You. For fans, it was the closest thing to confirmation yet that Linkin Park will headline the 2026 edition.
The Numb track opens with the lines:
“Thank you, thank you, thank you, you’re far too kind
Uh, whoo, yeah! Ready?
Whoo, whoo, whoo! (Let’s go)
Can I get an encore? Do you want more?
Cookin’ raw with the Brooklyn boy
So for one last time I need y’all to roar…”
Tickets sold out in just 30 minutes when sales opened on August 28, after reports circulated that Linkin Park would headline at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse on January 25, 2026, as part of their From Zero World Tour.

The frenzy began after a fan newsletter, complete with a poster hinting at the announcement, spread widely online.
BookMyShow has added to the suspense, telling The Economic Times that the lineup will only be revealed after the next round of ticket sales, which resumes tomorrow morning at 9:30 am.
“India has been somewhere we’ve wanted to play for a long time. Our fans there are incredibly passionate and we can’t wait to finally bring our live show to them,” Mike Shinoda was quoted in the newsletter.
The show marks a new era for Linkin Park. Their comeback album From Zero (2024) was the first since Chester Bennington’s passing in 2017, and introduced new members Emily Armstrong (vocals), Colin Brittain (drums), and Alex Federer (guitar). Their return began in 2024 with the single The Emptiness Machine, after seven years of silence following a tribute concert for Bennington.
Hints of the India stop had been building for months, from a RuPay pre-sale notification by Bank of Baroda to cryptic Lollapalooza India posts like “From zero to hundred” and “Come be a part of something”, which fans quickly tied back to the band’s new album and lyrics.

The 2026 edition will be the festival’s fourth in India, after past lineups featuring Sting, Green Day, Jonas Brothers, Shawn Mendes, Imagine Dragons, and homegrown names like AP Dhillon, Divine, Raghu Dixit, and Prabh Deep. More than 40 artists are expected this year, though the full lineup remains under wraps.
Passes have been disappearing fast. General admission and VIP tickets are gone, and even premium categories, priced at ₹48,999 and ₹29,999, sold out within minutes. These offered extras like Platinum Pits, lounges, and shuttle services.
For those who missed the rush, tomorrow offers a rare second chance. With sales reopening at 9:30 am, fans still have an opportunity to grab their spot at what could be one of the most historic concerts ever staged in India.
