Fnatic has won the Fragadelphia Blocktober Counter-Strike 2 LAN event, defeating 9INE in the Grand Final.
As a result of the 3-2 win, the UK-based esports organisation has secured a place at November’s StarLadder Budapest Major.
Fnatic’s Road To Victory
Fnatic began its Fragadelphia campaign by making it out of the group stage to secure a place in the Playoffs. A 2-0 sweep of Metizport in the round of 16 set up an all-European clash against BIG in the quarter-final.
BIG struck first with an opening win on Mirage before Fnatic responded with victories on Mirage and Inferno to move onto the semi-finals, where OG Esports awaits.
Fnatic continued to build on the momentum from its previous two matches, scoring a 2-0 win over OG Esports, securing a place in a Grand Final that would determine whether the team would earn a place at the Major.
Joining Fnatic in the Grand Final would be 9INE, which had defeated the likes of 9z Team, SAW, and ECSTATIC to keep its Major hopes alive.
A hotly contested series went to a fifth and final map, with Fnatic emerging victorious with a 13-9 win on Train to take home $5,500 (~£4,093) in prize money and enough Valve Regional Standings (VRS) points to secure the final place at the Major.
What Next For Fnatic?
With Major qualification secured, Fnatic’s focus turns towards a handful of Tier 1 and Tier 2 events taking place throughout October.
From October 14th to 19th, the team will compete at the CS Asia Championship 2025 event, joining the likes of 3DMAX, Team Liquid, and TYLOO in Shanghai.
Taking place from October 24th to November 1st, Fnatic is among 16 teams taking part in PGL Masters Bucharest 2025, one of the final Tier 1 events taking place before the Major.
