The Minnesota Vikings have formed a formidable duo at the tight end position with T.J. Hockenson and Josh Oliver.
Because of the security at that position, the Vikings decided not to bring back 2022 seventh-round pick Nick Muse following the 2024 season after he played in four games.
Now, though, it appears the former Vikings tight end could be garnering interest from the San Francisco 49ers.

<p>Muse had a workout with the 49ers earlier this week as reported by Aaron Wilson of KPRC2.</p>

posted the following on X, “49ers worked out Zach Davidson, Peyton Hendershot, Nick Muse, Eddy Pineiro (signed), Messiah Swinson, Cole Turner, Mike White.”
The workout comes as the 49ers’ star tight end George Kittle was placed on injured reserve after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 1. Kittle totaled four receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown before going down with the injury.

<p>Muse, who turns 27 years old in November, spent the past three seasons with the Vikings after being selected by the team in the 2022 draft. That selection came after a successful career with William & Mary and South Carolina.</p>
<p>During his three seasons with the South Carolina Gamecocks, Muse totaled 67 receptions for 805 yards and three touchdowns. He helped South Carolina to a Duke’s Mayo Bowl victory over North Carolina during the 2021 season.</p>
<p>Muse made Minnesota’s 53-man roster during his rookie season and started the year playing behind Irv Smith Jr. and Johnny Mundt. However, Smith went down with an injury mid-season, prompting the Vikings to trade for Hockenson.</p>
<p>During his rookie season, Muse played 10 games but was entirely limited to special teams, totaling 108 snaps with that group.</p>
