Dr. Subhash Chandra – former Rajya Sabha MP and one of India’s most respected and influential media pioneers – turns 75 on November 30. Marking the milestone, Haq Director Suparn S. Varma shared his heartfelt wishes and warm regards.

Dr. Subhash Chandra didn’t just build a TV channel – he quite clearly changed the course of Indian media forever. In 1992, when Doordarshan ruled every screen, Dr Subhash Chandra took a bold leap. He launched India’s first private satellite TV channel, Zee. That one bold move opened the doors to cable television, which further led to diverse storytelling, and a new era of entertainment. His vision, grit, and never-give-up spirit reshaped how millions consume content and helped build a booming media and entertainment ecosystem in India. Today, as Dr. Subhash Chandra turns 75, he continues to receive immense respect, admiration, and heartfelt wishes from across the globe.

Haq director Suparn S Varma too extended his birthday wishes to Dr Subhash Chandra on his 75th birthday.
