Nebraska Volleyball may be down, but not out. Despite the heartbreaking loss to the Texas A&M Aggies in the final eight of the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Championships, the morale amongst the players continues to remain high as usual.

Husker players Teraya Sigler and Keri Leimbach have decided to continue with their Nebraska program, for which they were encouraged by veteran players like Harper Murray and Maisie Boesiger, amongst whom Boesiger will be retiring after this season.

Nebraska Volleyball Veterans React to Keri Leimbach and Teraya Sigler’s Decision To Continue

Leimbach and Sigler made their collegiate debut for the Big Red in the current season. Leimbach, who is a libero by position, shared her thoughts after the NCAA Championships on her Instagram account. The libero wrote in her Instagram post,

“A year full of growth and learning! So thankful for this team and every single one of these girls! Much love for my redshirt season and can’t wait too see what’s next! Till next year @huskervb ❤️❤️❤️”

Sigler backed Leimbach through her own post, as she wrote,

“All glory to God for the opportunity to play for something greater than myself. God just said it wasn’t our time and I’m learning to be okay with that. I thought that maybe if we went all the way that all of the hard work and dedication would mean something but come to find out there is so much more than just a trophy. The lord has truly blessed me with being apart of such a historic team and coaching staff. Praise Jesus for he is good ALL THE TIME.
See yall next year!!! ❤️❤️”

Nebraska Volleyball’s Performance at the NCAA Championships

The Huskers began their journey on a decent note at the NCAA Championships. They were the top-seeded team in the Lincoln Regionals, and they won their inaugural game against the LIU Sharks without breaking a sweat.

The Big Red then proceeded to the second round, where they pummeled the Kansas State Wildcats by a similar score of 3-0. The Kansas Jayhawks also proved to be no challenge for coach Dani Busboom Kelly’s disciples, as the Huskers qualified for the quarterfinals. However, the invincible streak was broken by a lower-ranked Aggies team, which qualified for the first semifinals in the history of the NCAA Championships.
