Union minister Rao Inderjit Singh and senior Haryana leader Anil Vij have built a reputation for not missing any opportunity to target their own government, keeping chief minister Nayab Singh Saini‘s government perpetually on edge.
On September 12, seven-time MLA and state minister Anil Vij alleged on X that in his Ambala Cantt constituency “some people are running a parallel BJP with the blessings of those above”.
Vij further raised eyebrows on Thursday by quietly dropping “minister” from his X bio, changing it from “Anil Vij, minister, Haryana” to simply “Anil Vij, Haryana.” As speculation mounted, he clarified: “I want my followership to be completely organic.”
If Vij makes noise through his posts, Union minister Rao Inderjit Singh keeps the government guessing through his statements – and dinner diplomacy. In his latest jab, Singh expressed disappointment over delays in the Gurugram Metro Project, demanding accountability for the holdup. He pointed out that while the foundation stone was laid last year and the bhumi pujan was held last month, no work has begun. In a veiled swipe at CM Saini, he warned the project might take another 18 months to get off the ground.
