We asked our staff for predictions regarding the Baltimore Ravens’ trip to the Twin Cities, with the group largely agreeing that Kevin O’Connell and Co. are back.

<p>As a group voice, factoring in each writer’s score forecast, we believe the <strong>Vikings will topple the Ravens by a score of 27-24</strong>. Also known as the winning score for Minnesota at Detroit.</p>
<p>Baltimore has a 3-5 record entering Week 10, and despite its current and bizarre status as the frontrunner to win the AFC North, according to sportsbooks, <a href=)
Lamar Jackson’s team can’t afford to lose too many more games if it wants to wiggle into the postseason.
The same also applies to Minnesota, battling nine teams with winning records in the NFC.

The Athletic‘s Alec Lewis picked Minnesota to lose 27-20 and explained, “Ravens 27, Vikings 20. Baltimore has been a team since it acquired safety Alohi Gilman from the Chargers. The move allowed them to weaponize Hamilton. The defense has benefited. Create a lead, energize the crowd and Minnesota will be squarely in this fight. The Jackson challenge is just too daunting for me to pick the Vikings.”
His coworker, Jon Krawczynski also predicted the Ravens, too, noting, “I loved what I saw from the Vikings on both sides of the ball last week in Detroit. Winning that game in that fashion means they’re capable of winning almost any time they step on the field. I worry that Jackson and Henry are such a devastating combination that they will turn this game into a shootout. And if it becomes that, I have to give the Ravens the edge over McCarthy and Justin Jefferson.”
Bleacher Report‘s Kristopher Knox chose Baltimore to cover the 3.5-point spread: “I hate the hook here because this feels like the sort of game Baltimore might win with a walk-off field goal. The Ravens are on the road, their defense is getting better but still not great, and Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy can create some mismatches. However, Lamar Jackson is healthy, so I have to back the Ravens against a QB with three career starts.”

“At the same time, Minnesota looked like a different team against the Detroit Lions last weekend after suffering losses during the previous two contests. Expect Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores to attack Jackson and a weakened offensive line to at least disrupt the Ravens offense and give Minnesota a chance.”
