Nasdaq-listed SS Innovations International, Inc., a developer of innovative surgical robotic technologies, has unveiled the world’s first Tele Surgeon Console — SSI MantrAsana.
The world’s first fully integrated, ergonomic and portable telesurgery console, MantrAsana for remote precision operations, will revolutionise global robotics beyond geographies.
The innovative robotic technology enable expert surgeons to operate remotely through a compact, self-contained robotic system, designed and manufactured entirely in India for the world.
Expertise without boundaries
Dr Sudhir Srivastava, Founder and Chairman, SS Innovations International, said the innovation will bring the surgeon’s expertise directly to the patient, regardless of geography, and the console’s smaller size will allow surgeons to perform telesurgery from their offices.
The surgeon wears very lightweight glasses with a magnified 3D view and uses magnetic sensor-based controls to remotely navigate the robotic system’s movements, he said.
These smaller telesurgery units can be placed anywhere to extend the expertise services, he said.
New era in robotics
Dr Sudhir Rawal, Medical Director, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre, said the technology empowers surgeons to extend their expertise far beyond hospital walls. It TSC represents a new era in surgical innovation, combining advanced robotics, precision controls and immersive 3D visualisation to make remote surgery a reality, he added.
Its compact ergonomic footprint allows it to be installed in a surgeon’s office, enabling remote procedures without occupying an operating theatre.
MantrAsana, TSC is expected to be commercially available in India by December 2025, followed by global expansion.
