The iPhone Air is not selling particularly well and that may have discouraged at least three rival brands from attempting their own takes on the slim and light form factor. A new report from DigiTimes suggests that several Chinese brands, including Xiaomi, Oppo, and vivo have reportedly cancelled their plans to launch ultra slim phones meant to compete with the iPhone Air.

According to the new report, Apple’s key suppliers, Foxconn, have reduced their iPhone production lines, and Luxshare has completely halted its iPhone production. We recently saw the Air’s designer leave the company, and Cupertino has reportedly delayed its successor.
