Israel Adesanya shares his devastated live reaction to vicious UFC 322 knockout

Israel Adesanya watched UFC 322 at home with a bunch of his friends.

The former two-time UFC middleweight recorded his live reaction to Saturday night’s fight card.

‘Stylebender’ backed Jack Della Maddalena to KO Islam Makhachev before the Russian fan favorite wrestled his way to a unanimous decision victory to claim welterweight gold in the UFC 322 main event

However, Israel Adesanya‘s biggest reaction came during another 170lb clash on the epic fight card.

Israel Adesanya reacts to Leon Edwards losing again

Ahead of UFC 322, Israel Adesanya publicly backed Leon Edwards to return to winning ways after two losses in a row.

The 185lb great shares a manager, Tim Simpson, with Edwards, so they are fairly good friends.

Naturally, Adesanya was devastated when the former welterweight champion got brutally knocked out cold by Carlos Prates in the second round of their UFC 322 fight.

Adesanya was in the middle of praising Edwards when the English fan favorite got KO’d for the first time in his 22-6 (1NC) career.

“Leon’s counters is the one,” he said just before the KO shot landed.

“Oh no,” Adesanya screamed as he held his hands on his head.

“Wow! Left hand.

“So, Leon switched to orthodox. Damn! He got him.

“Ah, man! He’s got those things, bro.

“Dang! Yeah, Carlos was on.”

Who should Islam Makhachev fight next?

Leon Edwards told to retire

Leon Edwards’ downfall started with a decision defeat against Belal Muhammad at UFC 304 in July 2024.

‘Rocky’ tried to bounce back from losing his welterweight title against Sean Brady earlier this year.

Edwards was mauled en route to a fourth-round submission defeat in the main event of UFC London in March.

The 34-year-old faces an uncertain UFC future after suffering his third loss in a row this past weekend.

Edwards was told to retire by a section of fans and a long-time rival immediately after his vicious KO loss at UFC 322.

“I wanna see: Morales v Prates for number 1 contender,” Ian Garry tweeted.

“And Leon, retire.”

Edwards has yet to comment on his latest setback or the calls for him to bring his MMA career to an end.
