Jake Paul reveals new sparring injury that could impact his game plan for Anthony Joshua

Jake Paul is leaving no stone unturned during his latest fight camp.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer has been sparring with the best before he takes on Anthony Joshua.

Top heavyweight contenders Frank Sanchez, Lawrence Okolie, and Jared Anderson have been his training partners ahead of the Netflix mismatch.

Jake Paul was recently spotted with a black eye from sparring, but now he’s suffered a much more serious injury that could impact his performance on December 19.

Jake Paul’s nose is broken

Jake Paul recently sat down for an interview with Pat McAfee ahead of his biggest fight to date.

Midway through their 15-minute conversation, McAfee asked Paul about his seemingly broken nose.

“It’s getting more crooked, brother,” the 12-1 superstar replied.

“I’m not gonna lie. Sparring the heavyweights, my nose has moved a couple of millimetres this camp.

“A guy by the name of Frank Sanchez, he definitely cracked it a little bit.

“So, I definitely have a slight little something in there.

“Yeah, man, it’s bad. Look at that, dude. I’m like Squidward, dog.”

Should Jake Paul withdraw from his fight with Anthony Joshua?

The YouTuber-turned-boxer was already giving up size and experience – now he’s seriously injured, too.

Jake Paul’s prediction

Jake Paul’s game plan is to drag Anthony Joshua into the later rounds before landing the KO blow.

“I don’t think he can knock me out because he’s not going to be able to line up his shots properly to be able to land the hard punch,” he added.

“I think it’s going to be a very tough fight for multiple rounds, but then when I figure out his pacing, his style, his speed, his footwork, he’s going to get a little bit tired trying to chase me around, and then I’m going to set up the shot.

“I’m not going to say exactly what, but I see what it is and I think it will end in the fifth or sixth round.”

A lot has changed in the last nine years. 🤣

That wouldn’t be a bad game plan if Paul could rely on his ability to breathe properly during the fight.

A broken nose means he will be boxing with his mouth wide open against Anthony Joshua.

It’s likely to impact his stamina and make him more susceptible to getting cracked on the jaw.

Only time will tell how Paul’s latest sparring injury will actually affect him on fight night.
