Juventus concluded a week-long training stint in Germany with a 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund in a preseason fixture at Signal Iduna Park on Sunday, August 10, 2025. The match drew more than 80,000 fans and marked defender Mats Hummels’ final appearance as a starter for the Bundesliga club.
Borussia Dortmund began with early pressure, creating the first chance through forward Serhou Guirassy. Juventus adjusted after the opening minutes, and in the 15th minute, Pierre Kalulu delivered a cross into the box, where Andrea Cambiaso converted for the opening goal.

The hosts attempted to respond in the 25th minute when Jobe Bellingham sent in a low cross, but no teammate was able to make contact. Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram tested the Dortmund defense with three attempts between the 27th and 40th minutes, all missing the target.
Juventus maintained control for the remainder of the first half, entering the interval with a 1-0 lead in the Juventus vs Borussia Dortmund matchup.
Andrea Cambiaso scores again as Juventus hold off Dortmund late
The visitors extended their advantage early in the second half. Francisco Conceicao applied pressure on the Dortmund back line before Joao Mario and Kenan Yildiz combined to release Cambiaso, who scored his second goal of the match.
Borussia Dortmund increased their attacking efforts after conceding the second goal. Guirassy forced saves from Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio, but the breakthrough came in the 89th minute when Maximilian Beier scored to cut the deficit to 2-1.
Juventus, managed by Igor Tudor, retained possession in the closing moments to secure the result. The victory capped a day in which Juventus Women’s First Team also recorded a 4-0 win over their Dortmund counterparts.
The fixture served as a final tune-up before both teams resume their domestic preparations. Juventus will return to Serie A action later this month, while Borussia Dortmund continues its Bundesliga preseason schedule.
