Khamzat Chimaev makes controversial new threat to Ian Machado Garry
In a now-deleted tweet re-shared by ACD MMA and Championship Rounds on X, Khamzat Chimaev continued his feud with Ian Machado Garry on to social media. The pair both had their say at post-fight press conferences, but it seemingly wasn’t enough for the middleweight champion.
He wrote on his X account “White boy, you will not survive one minute in my world.” However, he quickly deleted that post, and his page now simply shows a message of support he shared for Arman Tsarukyan after his victory.
Chimaev had previously said of Garry during Tsarukyan’s post-fight press conference: “Don’t punch somebody from behind… Yeah, he’s like slapping my back. If you want to show respect, respectfully touch somebody.
“He came there to make some hype. You know that guy is trying to be Conor, but he’s never gonna be Conor [McGregor]. He’s a s— fighter.”

Garry was quick to make his thoughts on the incident known, claiming that Chimaev’s display backstage was an example of ‘little d— energy’.
“‘I need to show the world I’m tough, I need to show…’” Garry goaded. “You’re the champion of the world! No one needs to see you be tough. You don’t need these anger management issues. Be a man.”
