Kamorea “KK” Arnold’s remarkable sophomore season with the UConn Huskies reached another milestone this week when Washington County and the Village of Germantown declared “KK Arnold Day” in her honor.
KK Arnold Honored After Leading UConn to 2025 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship
The recognition comes after Arnold played a crucial role in UConn’s 82–59 victory over No. 1 seed South Carolina to capture the 2025 NCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball National Championship.
The official proclamation, signed by Washington County Executive Josh Schoemann, County Board Chairman Jeff Schleif, and Village President Bob Soderberg, was presented at Germantown High School during Arnold’s own youth basketball camp. The honor highlighted not just her championship performance, but also her ongoing commitment to mentoring young athletes in her hometown.
