A year ago, Latto unleashed her third studio album Sugar Honey Iced Tea and further cemented her reputation as one of Georgia’s finest rapstresses. This week, she commemorates the anniversary of the well-received body of work with a new partnership that makes complete sense: an exclusive collaboration Apple Bottoms.

“To kick off the celebration of my 1 year anniversary of Sugar Honey Iced Tea I’m launching my exclusive collab with Apple Bottoms! ? Limited quantities available now at www.AppleBottoms.com/Latto,” she announced on her social media accounts.

The brand added that the pieces were curated to show the connection between the Clayco County artist’s fashion sense and Apple Bottoms’ irreplaceable legacy. “Blending Latto’s signature style with iconic Y2K fashion, this collab brings a fresh take on the looks that made Apple Bottoms a Hip-Hop staple,” their site reads.

The collab features 16 items that reflect pieces Latto would rock on stage and at parties. From brown velour sets to statement cheetah print pants and their signature blue denim, her fans have plenty to choose from in the new drop.

The pairing is far from random, as the partnership was a year in the making and is a nod to Sugar Honey Iced Tea and Latto’s long love for the brand. The “Georgia Peach” spitter made sure to highlight the full-circle moment on her IG story with a “how it started” vs “how it ended” pair of posts, showing off the Apple Bottoms shorts she originally sported in her album cover.

Apple Bottoms was launched in 2002 by Nelly, starting as the “go-to denim darlings” before catapulting into the mainstream spotlight for their cultural relevance. The name has been referenced countless songs, in including Twista’s “Overnight Celebrity,” MC Jin’s “36-24-36,” DaCav5’s “Tetris,” Eminem’s “Shake That,” and most famously, Flo Rida’s “Low.” Apple Botroms took a break and returned in 2024.
