Synopsis

Government pensioners have two days left to submit their annual life certificate. This mandatory process ensures continued pension payouts. The digital Jeevan Pramaan system uses Aadhaar for biometric authentication. Pensioners can submit this online using face authentication. Successful submission by the November 30, 2025 deadline prevents pension delays. This verification is crucial for all government pensioners.

How to avoid life certificate submission deadline rush

With just two days left for the November 30, 2025 deadline, government pensioners are running against time to submit their annual life certificate ( Jeevan Pramaan Patra). Once they submit their life certificate and their pension disbursing authority (PDA) accepts it, pensioners will continue getting their pension payouts.

Every year, all government pensioners must complete this simple but mandatory verification process to prove that they are alive and eligible to receive their pension. Those who miss the deadline risk delays or temporary stoppage of their pension, which can cause unnecessary stress and financial inconvenience to pensioners.

General
How digital life certificate (Jeevan Pramaan Patra) works

Jeevan Pramaan, the Aadhaar-enabled digital life certificate system, allows pensioners to generate the certificate using the biometric authentication process. All they need is their Aadhaar number, mobile number and a fingerprint or iris scan. The certificate is automatically sent to the PDA, so there’s no need to submit physical documents afterward.

With the last date to submit a life certificate approaching fast, pensioners should pick the option most convenient to them and complete the submission process. A timely life certificate submission and acceptance ensures seamless pension credit for the rest of the year.

General Following are the pre-requisites for DLC generation:

  • Aadhaar number of the pensioner and its registration with pensioner’s account in PDA (Bank/Post Office)
  • Type of pension
  • Existing mobile number of the pensioner
  • PPO number
  • Names of the pension sanctioning authority and the pension disbursing authority
  • Account Number (Pension) or fingerprint and iris

  • For face authentication, an Android mobile/tablet with Version 9 & above with internet connectivity
  • Biometric devices (list of supported devices is given on the Jeevan Pramaan portal)
