Liverpool face Italian side AC Milan in their second friendly of the summer on Saturday.
The Reds cruised to a 3-1 victory against Preston North End in their first match of their pre-season campaign, and Arne Slot will hope to see his side build on that performance when they face Milan.
Last term the Merseyside outfit stormed to the Premier League title, and they have since been busy in the transfer market adding Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez to Slot’s squad.
Now, it has emerged that the Reds have set their asking price for one of their current players.
According to Spanish outlet Defensa Central via GiveMeSport, Liverpool are willing to allow centre-back Ibrahima Konate to depart Anfield this summer for a fee of around £43 million.
The Frenchman has less than a year remaining on his current contract with the Premier League champions, and could therefore depart Anfield as a free agent next summer.
Konate joined the Reds from German side RB Leipzig back in 2021 and has since made more than 130 appearances for the club across all competitions.
Last term he featured 31 times in the Premier League as Liverpool cruised to the top flight title in Slot’s first season in charge.
Liverpool are said to be keen to avoid a repeat of the situation that saw Trent Alexander-Arnold depart the club after running down his contract.
While the Reds did eventually receive a small fee for the right-back, they came close to losing him for nothing.
Konate remains a key member of Slot’s squad, however the Merseyside club could opt to cash in on him this summer if a suitable offer is received.
