Lollipop Chainsaw Anime Announced Alongside New Game

The remastered Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP isn’t the only new thing going for the cheeky action game. Nada Holdings and Dragami Games recently teased the development of new projects, and now those have been confirmed as an anime adaptation and a new game.

We don’t know much about either, but Nada Holdings offered a bit of insight into the design philosophy behind the new game. According to the press release, it aims to “recreate a world rich in dark humor” and will be made “without imposing excessive creative restrictions in the name of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion).”

We’ll have to wait for further information on both. For now, official social media accounts are live.

The original Lollipop Chainsaw game was a collaboration between Suda51 (No More Heroes) and James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, Superman) that dropped back in 2012 from developer Grasshopper Manufacture. The remastered RePOP version launched in 2024 and has sold around 1.5 million copies.
