Manchester United face rivals Leeds United in the Swedish capital of Stockholm on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils will face the newly-promoted Premier League side in their first friendly of the summer, before embarking on a tour of the United States on Tuesday.
Ruben Amorim is under pressure to improve his side this term, after a disastrous first six months in charge at Old Trafford.
United finished 15th in the top flight last season and therefore won’t compete in Europe this time around, but Amorim will be desperate to see his side return to continental competition.
With that in mind, it appears that United are interested a surprise move for a Brazilian midfielder.
According to Aksam via GiveMeSport, the Red Devils are interested in Galatasaray star Gabriel Sara.

The report claims that the Manchester giants have identified the 26-year-old as a potential target to bolster Amorim’s squad in midfield.
It is claimed that United have set aside £26 million to finalise a deal for the Brazilian, who joined Galatasaray from Championship side Norwich City in 2024.
During his time with the Canaries Sara played 96 times across all competitions, and he has since made 45 tappearances for Galatasaray, providing ten assists.
Sara is under contract with the Turkish champions until the end of the 2028/29 campaign, but it appears that Man United could attempt to lure him back to England prior to the end of the current transfer window.
Since the end of last season, Christian Eriksen has already left United, leaving Amorim’s squad potentially short of options in the middle of the park.
While Galatasaray are said to be reluctant to sell the player, the report claims that they could be open to doing so for the right price.
