This paid off when he broke the Indian national record in 110m hurdles with a time of 13.41 seconds. He also competed in the World Championships and achieved a world ranking of 29.

Tejas has lived away from home since he was 19. He visits his family rarely. His day starts and ends with training, diet, rest, and recovery. His family, who once worried about his future, are now proud of how far he has come.
