MuscleBlaze has made a strong gesture that goes to emphasize its desire to be part of the grassroots sport with a move that includes sponsoring Tejas Shirse, the 110m hurdler with talent who hails from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. Instead of spending money on celebrity promotion, the brand is pouring its resources into the real athlete who is still ascending and leaving an impact with image statement.
Out of a Mud Track to National Records
Tejas is the son of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. His family is not sporting and he has not been brought up in the background of proper training facilities. However, he loved running and jumping at school, and that is where one of the teachers noticed his ability and made him consider being an athlete.
Tejas enrolled in an academy in his home town when he was 16. It even lacked a synthetic track. He trained on mud daily, and had frequently to work in a primitive state. He went to the extent of selling shoes online as he pursued his training to get some money.
His first big moment came when he won gold at the Under-17 National School Games in 2018. Later, he got selected for the JSW Sports Academy in Bellary, where he received proper guidance and training. He kept improving and started breaking junior records.
In 2020, he had a tough time at the World Junior Championships. That experience made him rethink everything. He changed his training, focused more on discipline, and worked harder. This paid off when he broke the Indian national record in 110m hurdles with a time of 13.41 seconds. He also competed in the World Championships and achieved a world ranking of 29.
Tejas has lived away from home since he was 19. He visits his family rarely. His day starts and ends with training, diet, rest, and recovery. His family, who once worried about his future, are now proud of how far he has come.
MuscleBlaze Steps Up: Impact Not Image
MuscleBlaze is supporting Tejas at an important stage of his career. While many big brands invest in athletes only after they’re already stars, MuscleBlaze is supporting someone at a critical stage, when the support can truly make a difference.
This isn’t just a financial endorsement. MuscleBlaze has also created a documentary on Tejas, sharing his story with the world through its own content channels. The film shows his journey, his struggles, and his growth as an athlete. Many viewers have found it inspiring, especially young athletes from smaller towns.
Through this effort, MuscleBlaze is showing that sports sponsorship is not only about marketing. It is also about building confidence in athletes who are still working their way up. By supporting Tejas, the brand is sending a message that talent should be recognised early. Support like this can help Indian sports grow, especially in places where young athletes do not get enough opportunities.
Looking Ahead
As Tejas continues his training under James Hilliard, MuscleBlaze’s backing gives him the stability and resources he needs to aim higher. The brand’s support covers not just competitive goals but also the long-term development required to perform at elite levels.
With this partnership, MuscleBlaze isn’t just selling nutrition, it’s investing in India’s future in sport. By placing impact before image, the brand is rewriting what athlete sponsorship can and should look like. And as Tejas’s story unfolds, it has the potential to inspire a new generation of athletes who believe that origin does not define destination.
