Nick Cannon shared an honest reflection when speaking about his children. During an interview with Extra’s Mona Kosar Abdi, the actor opened up about the kind of person he hopes his daughters choose to date. The candid conversation unfolded as they discussed his new late-night television show, Nick Cannon @ Night.

“The goal here is to reinvent the late-night experience and make it more interactive,” explained the 44-year-old. “For years, we’ve kind of only known late night to be dictative. I wanted to make it more experiential,” he explained, adding, “It’s a cool environment and a cool space to talk about love, sex, and relationships.”

Abdi continued to explore who would be dishing out the guidance on the program, which Cannon clarifies hes giving insight and comical relief alongside professionals such as doctors and therapists who can give professional advice.

“You used to be a player…what changed for you? Abdi continued to inquire.

“Fatherhood, more than anything,” confirmed the Drumline star. “When you have five daughters and you’re like. I at least want to be able to be true and honest,’ but like I can’t live the same life that I’ve always been living and attempt to right my wrongs in that sense of where like hopefully my daughters learn from my mistakes and not date people like their dad.”
