Pokémon Go’s August Community Day will feature Rookidee

• Pokémon Go’s August Community Day is just around the corner
• It features increased encounters with Rookidee (including that all-important Shiny!)
• Trainers who evolve Rookidee can also earn their way towards a Corviknight with a new attack

With the weather being so nice (or on and off, depending where you are), there’s really little need for an excuse to get outdoors. But if you do need one, the upcoming Pokémon Go August Community Day is certainly a temptation, especially with the newly unveiled bonuses for a certain avian Pokémon.

Available on August 30th from 2-5 pm local time, trainers will encounter Rookidee far more often, including the chance to meet that all-important Shiny! So if you’ve been wanting to nab one for a while, now’s the time to check in.

But it’s not all about just catching Rookidee. Those of you working your way through its evolutions are in luck. During the event (or up until September 6th), you’ll be able to acquire a Corviknight with the Charged Attack Air Cutter Ability by evolving a Corvisquire.

Naturally, there’ll also be plenty of other opportunities for goodies, what with the Community Day Special Research available to purchase and Timed Research for fans to complete. But that’s not all, as Community Days are also packed with even more bonuses!

Try 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance, double Catch Candy, extended three-hour Lure Modules and Incense, as well as extra Special Trades and Reduced Stardust Cost. That’s on top of even more neat additions and surprise encounters in Rookidee Snapshots to look forward to.
